SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE…

Pure Storage is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead complex engineering projects from conception to completion. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks, and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You will manage and improve existing processes, develop tools, manage software releases, and deliver on other Engineering programs. You’ll be exercising independent judgment and developing recommendations that translate into a course of action.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects with multiple work streams that require inputs from cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Provide project management, cross-functional coordination, and inter/intra-team communications to deliver outstanding program outcomes on time with high quality
  • Develop schedules, identify dependencies, critical paths, bottlenecks and maintain execution throughout the duration of programs.
  • Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams to drive actions and resolutions
  • Communicate schedules, priorities, and status to our stakeholders at all levels of the company.
  • Understand the high-level technical architecture and be able to facilitate communication, conflict resolution, and drive decisions on appropriate deployments.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE..

  • Technical aptitude, as evidenced by B.S. in Computer Science or related technical/quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Prior role working in a software development role and relevant industry experience (preferably in enterprise product development) . 
  • Be a change agent with ability to operate in a fast-paced, agile development environment and manage multiple, concurrent priorities and projects.
  • Experience in project management in software release or product design &delivery along with excellent organisational, analytical, prioritisation, communication and influencing skills.
  • Excel at coordinating cross cross-functional teams with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Have good knowledge of cloud  business models.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results.
  • Set goals for the program, track and periodically communicate to stakeholders as well as ensure corrective actions/mitigations as needed
  • Proficient with generating actionable metrics, reports, and dashboards to highlight project health and status.
  • Has the right balance of technical, project management and business/product acumen and manages delivery across SDLC serving as single point of contact.
  • Mastered Agile methods like Scrum and Kanban and having strong experience of using planning and collaboration tools like JIRA, Confluence.
  • Experience in implementing complex workflows, dashboards, and configurations in a project management tool, Jira preferred.
