Twilio is the world’s leading customer engagement platform empowering developers to build modern communication applications and experiences.  We seek an inspired and technical individual to join our Twilio Data & Applications Operations team. This team consists of Technical Delivery Program Management, Product Analytics and GTM program partnership. Individuals in this organization are dedicated to ensure successful product delivery from ideation to launch. As a Staff Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for leading complex programs and evolving systems to create a more integrated and effective product delivery process.

You will be responsible for enabling Program teams to reach their goals. You will ensure team collaboration and identify dependencies and risks, resolve blockers, track and report progress, all while leveraging best practices to ensure predictable and timely delivery of our programs. You will be partnering and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders from Product, Engineering, Sales, Professional services and support to craft a thoughtful ecosystem for partnership and ensuring that Twilio meets the needs of the market and customer.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Build and lead complex cross-functional programs for product and cross-company initiatives. Must be able to effectively plan, organize and drive projects to completion with minimal oversight. 
  • Drive towards continuous improvement through analyzing data and inspecting & adapting practices to work with agile teams to improve project delivery
  • Support the transparency and communication of the health and progress of an overall program that you are coordinating. Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization including leading complex discussions with senior leaders by answering tough questions and effectively raising issues or areas of misalignment
  • Gather and analyze large amounts of information quickly in order to problem solve and drive decision-making effectively including technical design
  • Create and maintain alignment within a highly dynamic and ambiguous situations
  • Identify and escalate gaps and risks across organizations.
  • Dependency management- Ability to identify, negotiate and monitor dependencies across multiple teams within the program.
  • Align senior leaders on program priorities. Regularly communicate program risks and align leaders on solutions
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and ownership to drive solutions and tasks to completion
  • Help be an agent of change as we strengthen our Program Management across the organization
  • Simplify complexity to map out a program’s next steps and communicate an easily digestible plan
  • Contribute to the definition, development and tracking of effective metrics and R&D improvements that drive improved BU operating performance
Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+  years experience in technical program management, project management, or operational role.
  • BA/BS degree in computer science or similar degree
  • Experience leading and managing the successful delivery of high impact and highly cross-functional integrations
  • Strong ability to quickly build relationships and establish rapport with various cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong ability to create clarity and movement in ambiguous situations with a passion to deliver innovative solutions at scale 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as ability to think clearly, problem-solve and prioritize
  • Ability to adapt to and manage change. 
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Desired:

  • Certification in Project Management or relevant discipline
  • Experience in delivering complex programs in an Agile environment
  • Experience in establishing and driving the adoption of program frameworks, tools, and best practices
  • Experience working with SaaS products.  
  • Experience with Atlassian suite tools.
Location 

This role will be remote in the US, preferably in the East Coast.

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

  • Based in Colorado: $ 132,320  - $ 165,400 USD
  • Based in New York, Washington State or California (outside the San Francisco Bay Area): $ 140,080 - $175,100 USD
  • This role is NOT eligible to hire in the bay area. 
  • This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan. All roles are eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
