What You'll Do:

LogicMonitor is disrupting the hybrid cloud monitoring market by changing the way businesses use disparate sources of data. We are already a leader in this space – and we started by solving the hardest, most complicated problem first. With roots in the IT Infrastructure Monitoring space, we have carved out excellent product-market fit in hybrid cloud monitoring. Our customers love LogicMonitor's ability to bring cloud and traditional IT together into one view, as seen in minimal churn rates, expansion business, and exciting new customer references. As we enter this next phase of growth, we are in search of a Technical Writer. 

Good content is paramount at LogicMonitor, the leading cloud-based hybrid infrastructure performance monitoring platform for Enterprise and Managed Service Providers (MSPs). As the Technical Writer you will cultivate in-depth technical documents, release notes, and manuals that explain complex information about infrastructure and application performance monitoring. Make your mark in a clear and concise manner tor a highly technical audience (including Software Developers, Operations Engineers, and Network and System Administrators). It is instrumental you work collaboratively with Product Management, Engineering, and Quality Assurance staff to ensure accuracy of product feature / function descriptions and details.

Here's a closer look at this key role: 

  • Participate in the release process as a part of the cross functional team
  • Understand LogicMonitor's strategy for content management
  • Research and write the release notes for releases based on a 3 week sprint cycle
  • Research and write technical documentation to explain new functionality use cases, enablement, and feature function details.
  • Continually measure reader engagement with content, and iterate to improve content definition, craft, and distribution
  • Collaboratively ensure a consistent look, style, voice, tone, message, and brand across all product documentation
  • Edit for consistency, clarity, brevity, accuracy, and readability—across digital and print media
  • Provide accurate and timely project reporting on all your content activities
  • Recognize opportunities for process improvement and implement them
  • Write and implement user interface (UI) text that is aligned with the LM UX writing guidelines
What You'll Need:
  • BA or BS preferred (Computer Science, Engineering, or English a plus)
  • 3-5+ years technical writing experience 
  • Clear, strong oral and written English language skills
  • Excellent content planning and organization skills
  • Comfortable researching new technologies, learning how to use them, and reducing their complex workings to clear prose
  • Organized and detail­-oriented to effectively manage projects and programs that will require contributions and feedback from other functional groups
  • Experience with creating documentation in an Agile development environment

LogicMonitor believes in pay transparency, so we provide the base salary ranges for all of our jobs in the United States. Actual base salary offered will vary depending on factors including but not limited to: location, education, experience, skills, and qualifications. LogicMonitor also offers many competitive elements in our total compensation package for US employees, such as a bonus, MBO, or commission compensation in addition to the base pay, an equity program, 401K matching, and other rewards. 

Expected Base Salary Range$73,000—$100,400 USD
