About the role: 

The User Experience Designer will be responsible for the usability and UX consistency across their product line or domain as well as digital interfaces such as mobile and any other digital applications. This role will also create, evaluate and modify prototypes to support evolving software application development. Individuals in this role must be user-focused and analytical.

Your contribution will be:  

Design Process: The User Experience Designer is responsible for the end-to-end user experience process which is aligned to the Nintex Feature Development Lifecycle process. This lifecycle process consists of 5 key phases: exploration, definition, design, implementation, and release and learn. The User Experience designer will align user-centric practices to this global Nintex standard process.  

The User Experience Designer will produce artefacts during the process including: sketches, user flows, storyboards, high-fidelity designs, interactive prototypes, user journey maps, and more as required for the project. 

Research: The User Experience Designer will proactively conduct research from initial exploration and discovery phase right through to product lunch. Appropriate research will be conducted during and after the definition and design stages in the process. In this role, the individual will conduct research using various methods including exploratory semi-structured interviews, surveys, and usability tests. Upon research completion, this role will be responsible for the analysis of research findings, writing reports and communicating results to the UX and product teams. Key stakeholders including Directors, Engineering, Product Managers and other UX designers will be kept informed of research progress verbally and through appropriate documentation. 

Testing and Best Practice: The User Experience Designer will execute usability research to ensure that solutions provided and researched will be accessible and intuitive. The testing of designs will help identify potential usability issues and design opportunities. Recommendations and enhancements will be made as needed. The ability to stay on top of current trends in usability best practices and methods will be crucial to the success of this role and the User Experience Designer will continuously research in this field. 

Process and Standards: This role will ensure that user-centred design principles are applied through the project lifecycle. In addition, the success of this role will depend on the User Experience Designer participating in the development and implementation of User Experience policies, processes, and standards. The User Experience Designer will assist in the creation of the Nintex Design System, the UX research library and UX toolkit. Ensuring that high standards and processes are adhered to. In the spirit of continuous improvement and thought leadership, the User Experience designer will also help in the design of procedures and metrics to measure the impact of design changes. 

Work Complexity and Business Requirements: The User Experience Designer will be a valued member of their team and add value to processes within the UX team. This role will work on multiple moderate to complex tasks / projects, working well as part of the team to collaborate with the research and development organisation to define and fulfill business concepts and solutions aimed at the success of Nintex in the short and long term. 

You may be directed to perform other reasonable tasks by your manager. 

To be successful, we think you need:  

A bachelor's degree in any discipline (as UX is a multi-disciplinary field) or equivalent work experience
