VP of Delivery Enablement & Operations

Okta seeks a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Delivery Enablement and Operations for our Customer Identity Cloud Product Unit. In this role, you will be responsible for setting the Program Management and Operations strategy, developing and optimizing efficient policies and processes, driving delivery of our roadmap and product development efforts, and leading the Technical Program Management, Agility, and Strategic Programs teams. Reporting to the President of Customer Identity Cloud, this role will drive collaboration with engineering finance, product, product marketing, and Customer First to solve business challenges and optimize the business's delivery and efficiency.

 

Responsibilities

  • The VP of Delivery Enablement and Operations will align the vision and strategy for Agility Coaching, Program Management, Communications, and Operations to cohesively drive delivery effectiveness and efficiency across the Customer Identity Cloud and Okta.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine best practices, including through continuous education opportunities for the team to improve product lifecycle management efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Run a diverse portfolio of highly visible programs from inception to launch, including reporting, liaising, and handling resource allocation, scheduling, risk management, and launch. 
  • Drives key program and delivery metrics to assess program/team health, velocity, and improve the success of our portfolio. 
  • Build and own methods to ensure continuous collaboration, transparency, and feedback to key stakeholders across Okta.  
  • Be a thought leader, constantly improving how we work, championing a positive culture, both for your team and the wider business unit, and championing delivery, operational, and innovative methodologies throughout the organization

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in technical program management and operations leadership roles within a technology company, with at least five years in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Proven track record of driving roadmap delivery, efficiency, and operational excellence at high-growth SaaS companies
  • Proven ability to drive executive deliverables and communicate effectively at the leadership level
  • Experience in building, influencing, or driving change across organizational processes, policies, and tooling.
  • Strong first principles thinker and someone who can drive efficient and rigorous analysis, research and insight generation, and building hypotheses and business cases.
  • Bias towards action and Ownership mentality: Someone who exhibits a strong results-oriented ownership mentality and owns successes and failures/learnings in past experiences.
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills that drive exceptional impact at scale.

Below is the annual On Target Compensation (OTE) range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual OTE, which is inclusive of base salary and incentive compensation, will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable) and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual OTE range for this position for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$277,000—$415,000 USD The OTE range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:$310,000—$466,000 USD
