StepStone Private Wealth is looking for a detailed-orientated, organized individual to manage new product launches outside of the US, oversee licensing requirements and legal registrations in several jurisdictions, support the legal and operational onboarding of international distribution partners and work closely with various teams to support monthly capital raise and normal course of business. In this position, the selected candidate will work closely with external counsel, fund administrators, the Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM), the SPW EMEA business development team, the SPW international fund accounting team, the SPW fund operations teams and other teams within the business. We are looking for a self-motivated, ambitious, team player who has experience in private markets outside of the US and knowledge of the private wealth space.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Manage the legal, compliance, and regulatory aspects of SPW’s non-US products by working closely with external counsel and advisors as well as internal teams across the organization.
  • Organize, monitor, and maintain a library of country specific legal and compliance guidance received from external counsel and advisors and be an internal resource to educate and update the business development team.
  • Propose and oversee the implementation of complex projects including product structure recommendations and the review of third-party service providers.
  • Support the relationship with the Dublin-based AIFM as it relates to Luxembourg distribution and compliance efforts.
  • Oversee the drafting and execution of key third party distribution agreements, side letters and agency agreements and act as the main liaison between parties including GP senior management, external legal, the AIFM, the business development team and/or prospects.
  • Act as main relationship contact for Luxembourg based fund-administrator overseeing transfer agency, fund accounting, corporate secretary, and other key functions.
  • Oversee the monthly subscription process supporting clients through their onboarding and AML/KYC requirements as needed.
  • Team player with an interest in private markets and/or private wealth with a strong work ethic.
  • Support the collection and preparation of international board materials.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while remaining a collaborative team player with multiple departments and personnel.
  • Highly organized and self-directed individual who pays close attention to detail and can multi-task among various projects and is committed to meeting deadlines with limited supervision.
  • Effective and clear communication skills, both verbally and in written form, with all levels of personnel, both internal and external.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities with proven track record of leading projects and initiatives from beginning to end.
  • Highly motivated, ambitious, individual with a growth mindset that flourishes in challenging, fast-paced, and professional environment with frequent shifts of priorities as business needs dictate.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in administration, finance, accounting, or business
  • 5+ years of related financial services experience
