About the role:

The VP for Sales is a leadership role responsible for overseeing, driving & inspiring the sales operations within the United States region ensuring the success of the company's sales strategies in the region. Responsible for achieving overall revenue targets and growth against goals for the region, leading a team of strategic sellers and account managers supporting Nintex customers in reaching their business goals. In addition, the leader supports channel partners through recruitment and enablement. This executive partners closely with internal teams to ensure a best-in-class customer experience throughout the sales cycle as our customers are at the heart of everything we do.  

Your contribution will be:  

Strategic Planning and Sales Strategy Development:  

  • Lead sales planning at both a strategic and tactical level encompassing headcount, talent, sales plays, partner capacity, budget and resources needed to achieve regional objectives. 
  • Develop and execute on a strategic sales plan for the region in alignment with the company's overall sales and business objectives. 
  • Participate in the development of the company's overall sales strategy and contributing regional insights and market expertise to the planning process. 
  • Proactively identify and address challenges and obstacles that may hinder sales performance in the region. Develop innovative solutions and take decisive action to overcome these issues. 
  • It is vital that you keep an on-market trends, customer demands, and competitors in the region. Use this information to adjust sales strategies and tactics accordingly. 
  • Explore and evaluate opportunities for expanding the company's presence in the region through new markets, products, or services as this will be essential to Nintex's growth
  • Implement and improve sales processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, including the use of sales technologies such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems 

Sales Team Leadership:  

  • Provide leadership to the Regional Sales Leadership team, while fostering a culture of collaboration, high performance, accountability, professional development, and ethical behavior across all levels of the department. 
  • Ensure that the sales team is motivated, well-trained, and equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to meet their sales goals. 
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations for the sales team members and provide constructive feedback and support for improvement.  

Customer and Partner Relationship Management:  

  • Cultivate and maintain the key relationships within strategic accounts for both customers and partners. Ensure their needs are met and that they are highly satisfied with the company's products and services. 
  • Ensure team successfully plans and executes on goals for partners and customers; promotes alignment, productivity, and development. 
  • Ensure successful relations with key ecosystem partners including Microsoft, SFDC, Dropbox, & Box  

Forecasting and Reporting: 

  • Exceed forecasted targets for profitable sales volume, market share, and other key financial performance objectives. 
  • Set and achieve revenue and sales targets for the region. 

Monitor and report on sales performance and key performance indicators (KPIs). 

  • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts and reports to senior management, utilizing data and insights to make informed decisions. 
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc reports to senior management detailing the region's sales performance, challenges, and growth opportunities. 
  • Manage Travel and Expense Budget for region. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:  

  • Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, product development, and customer support to ensure a unified and customer-centric approach. 
  • Work closely with Marketing leadership to develop, execute, and leverage a strategy which leverages the partner ecosystem at all levels and generates measurable results against plan. 
  • Work with Channel and Partner team to advise on market feedback and key needs to drive field success. 

To be successful, we think you need:  

  • Proven track record of successful leadership in sales, including 10+ years enterprise sales experience and a minimum of 5 years sales leadership experience, 3rd line leadership experience is mandatory.
  • Successfully scaled and lead a regional sales team in private equity backed SaaS environment. 
  • Built and led inside sales and field sales in a high-growth, enterprise software company. 
  • In-depth understanding of sales processes, methodologies, and the regional market dynamics. 
  • Track record of exceeding sales goals year after year and delivering growth with a sense of urgency. 
  • Proven history of accurately forecasting monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals. 
  • Strong analytical abilities and a data-driven decision-making approach.  
  • Outstanding written and spoken communication skills. 
  • Proficiency in utilizing sales technology, including CRM systems. 
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant industry regulations and ethical standards. 
    • Bachelor's / Undergraduate degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field.
