VP Engineering, Dropbox Dash

You’re able to balance business delivery with engineering quality, have strong business acumen, are data and metrics oriented, and can balance a portfolio of short term and long term investments.
As a ground floor opportunity for this startup team, we need this lead to build a top-tier engineering culture, focus on product strategy and execution.
Responsibilities- You will lead the team in balancing urgency vs. the incredibly high quality bar expected by both our customers and the broader Dropbox organization, through clear and repeatable engineering processes
- You will partner closely with leadership across all functions - Product, Design, Data, Research, GTM, Customer success and Sales
- You will partner deeply with Engineering, Product and Design leadership across Dropbox
- You will create a culture of strong technical ownership, resulting in highly reliable products and services at scale
- You'll foster a healthy and collaborative culture that embodies Dropbox's values and continue to develop Dropbox as one of the best places to work
- 12+ years of engineering experience in a medium or larger software company including 6+ years managing high performance teams
- Strong experience in building recommendations systems with ML/AI.
- Demonstrated ability to hire and grow senior leaders and managers
- Strong technical craft mastery and engineering discipline
- Deep organization capabilities, especially in regards to influence, collaboration and communication
- Leading Growth team experience is a plus
Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation. We target most new hire offers between the minimum up to the middle of the range.
Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
Current Salary/OTE Ranges (Subject to change):$390,000 - $405,000 - $420,000
