Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Renewal Sales Leader to join our team. This role is responsible for driving the renewal sales strategy across the company’s global markets, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maximizing revenue opportunities through the renewal of existing contracts. The Global Renewal Sales Leader will be responsible for delivering $1.1B in annual renewals in FY25, closing $2.4B in total contract value, and building and leading a team of 80 highly skilled professionals working in the United States, Europe, and Asia/Pacific/Japan The leader will be a key member of the Okta Customer First leadership team working closely with other leaders in Customer First, Sales, Operations, and Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive global renewal sales strategy that aligns with the company’s overall objectives and strategy delivering $1.1B in renewal ARR and $2.4B in total contract value.
- Develop the global renewal strategy and lead the development of regional plans to include a multiple-channel go-to-market strategy that includes: direct customer engagement, partners, outsourcers, and digital.
- Lead and manage a global team of 80+ renewal sales professionals, setting clear goals and performance metrics.
- Develop a culture of transparency, innovation, integrity, and empowerment.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, engineering, support, professional services, customer success, and account management teams to identify renewal opportunities and develop related strategies.
- Ensure the highest standards of compliance and security are upheld across all services.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders to ensure high renewal rates.
- Develop and aggressively implement strategies and change to reflect industry/market trends, best practices, and technological advancements to keep the company at the forefront of SaaS renewal sales.
- Provide regular reports and forecasts on renewal sales performance to senior management.
- Work closely with the marketing team to create effective renewal campaigns and collateral.
- Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary training and resources to achieve their goals.
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients as needed.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives in the renewal sales process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus but not required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with a focus on renewal sales or account management.
- Proven track record of leading and scaling renewal sales teams in a global context.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficient in Salesforce.com, Google, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel globally and frequently.

Below is the annual On Target Compensation (OTE) range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual OTE, which is inclusive of base salary and incentive compensation, will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable) and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
