We are looking for a VP of Global Sales Development who will lead the next phase of growth and scale for this fast-growing function. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a highly impactful function for our company while helping to develop and mentor the future leaders of Elastic. What You Will Be Doing:
  • Leading and scaling a team of 100+ Sales Development Representatives and leaders across the globe to support our long-term growth initiatives 
  • Defining strategy and processes to improve efficiency and unlock high-value opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with Field Sales leaders as well as other key business leaders to identify strategies to achieve sales goals
  • Building programs and processes to scale pipeline through inbound and outbound prospecting strategies
  • Partnering closely with Marketing to ensure quality generation, education and nurturing of leads
  • Building and enabling successful teams through a clear vision, structure, and strategy
  • Managing a dispersed and diverse team, which includes frequent global travel
What You Bring:
  • 3rd or 4th line leadership experience leading large, global Sales Development teams in a software company with $1B+ annual revenue.
  • You are known for being able to create a thriving team culture based on a shared set of values and appropriately designed incentives
  • A creative mindset in thinking about driving rep efficiency and pipeline growth
  • Consistent overachievement of goals
  • Strong executive presence, influencing skills, presentation skills, and business insights
  • A demonstrable desire for innovation, continuous learning, and improvement
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing, and results-oriented atmosphere
  • Proven success working within a highly matrixed organization and establishing strong relationships across the business
  • The gravitas to represent a critical function within Elastic to executive leadership, key stakeholders, and peers in other functions
  • Strong track record of recruiting, developing and retaining a high performing sales development organization
  • Understand our customer needs and opportunities and the ability to articulate our sales strategy
  • The ability to operate at a high level and clarify processes and articulate needs at multiple levels. 

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary plus a variable component, that together comprise the On-Target Earnings (OTE).   On-Target Earnings (OTE) are based on a 60/40 pay mix (base salary / target variable).  

The typical starting OTE range for new hires in this role is listed below.  This range represents the lowest to highest OTE we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.  

An employee's position within the OTE range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program.  Our total rewards package also includes a company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings, along with a range of other benefits offered with a holistic emphasis on employee well-being.
