Job Description

The Workforce Planner is responsible for scheduling workers to ensure Company rosters are aligned with best practice, regulatory compliance, and production volumes. The position will ensure adequate labour pool and skill depth for the departments which the Workforce Planner partners.

You will…

  • Develop rosters in accordance with operational and regulatory requirements.
  • Publish rosters in accordance with Company policy and Award requirements.
  • Manage work schedule pattern changes in conjunction with People Operations and department leader.
  • Review leave requests and follow up department leaders as necessary.
  • Monitor overtime and student visa hours, and notify or work with leaders where changes are required.
  • Provide general assistance and training to employees and leaders in the use of the workforce management system.
  • Monitor behaviours and report to department leaders and/or People Operations where required.
  • Prepare meaningful reporting for your assigned departments.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to identify and address labour or skill gaps.
  • On an “as needed” basis, support the Talent Acquisition Officer with recruitment and onboarding tasks.
  • Any other duties as reasonably required or directed.

You have…

Desirable

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business, administration or planning.

Experience

  • Proven experience administering a workforce management or time & attendance system.
  • Good technical ability in the use of software and computer systems.
  • Providing best practice customer service.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, in particular Excel or Google Sheets.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in a high-volume fast paced industry such as FMCG, manufacturing or health.
  • Working with and interpreting Modern Awards or Enterprise Agreements.
  • Leading and administering recruitment processes.
  • As our site operates seven (7) days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and afternoon shifts. 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to effectively communicate with employees who have English as a Second Language.
  • High levels of attention to detail and understanding of compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving ability.
  • Ability to partner with and engage stakeholders.
  • High levels of resilience, professionalism and work ethic.
  • Approachable, energetic and flexible in approach.

Start Date: Immediately available - Can wait a notice period

Duration: Permanent full time role. You must have the right to work full-time in Australia/New Zealand.
