About the role

Workplace Experience plays an important role in ensuring the seamless operation of our Grimes fulfillment center, overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of a vast 72,000 square foot warehouse. Reporting directly to our VP of Workplace Experience, we ask that you have a proactive and hands-on approach to create a safe, efficient, and thriving workplace.

• You will oversee our 72K warehouse inclusive of maintenance, safety security and system controls
• You will have the responsibility of ensuring the health, safety, and security of both the employees and the facility, in addition to managing badge printing
• You will maintain office supplies, furniture, and resources, ensuring they are in good condition
• You will work with external vendors to guarantee the cleanliness, safety, and overall maintenance of the warehouse
• You will manage the shared warehouse and office lunch program, working with catering companies to stay within budget, schedule lunches, select menus, and oversee onsite catering staff
• You will gather feedback through surveys and conversations to identify areas for improvement
• You will develop and implement policies in collaboration with People Business Partners and People Operations teams, aligned with our values
• You will stay informed of latest workplace trends and share insights with the team
• You will collaborate with multiple teams to plan and deliver events, workshops, and recognition programs
• You will monitor the performance of workplace projects and recommend enhancements
• You will answer phones, greet visitors, and address general inquiries

Our Grimes distribution center is conveniently located for team members across the Des Moines metropolitan area. This is a contract-to-hire position

About You

We get excited about candidates, like you, because...

• You have 5+ years of experience in workplace experience, facilities management, employee engagement, or related roles.
• You have experience addressing breakdowns and resolving issues related to carpentry, plumbing, kitchen and office equipment, and HVAC systems
• You exhibit a comprehensive understanding of workplace design, employee well-being, and team dynamics, with a proven track record of implementing maintenance strategies and solutions
• You are proficient in workplace technology, including Google Workspace, and have a deep familiarity with specialized maintenance tools and equipment, allowing you to swiftly and address any maintenance needs that arise
• You have excellent communication skills allowing you to engage effectively with employees at all levels
• You have experience managing projects, collaborating with diverse teams, and meeting deadlines, particularly in the context of facilities maintenance initiatives
• You have onsite availability for five days a week
• You demonstrate punctual attendance and accurate completion of assigned tasks to contribute to distribution center success
