About the role

The Workplace Experience Specialist maintains a positive and productive work environment at our Grimes fulfillment center, promoting collaboration, productivity, and employee well-being with a hands-on and impactful approach. This is a contract position reporting to our VP of Workplace Experience.

  • Take care of office supplies, furniture, other resources, ensuring everything is in good shape
  • Work with external companies to ensure that our warehouse is clean, safe, and well-maintained
  • Manage the shared warehouse and office lunch food program. Coordinate with external catering companies to stay within budget and schedule lunches, select weekly menus and monitor onsite catering staff
  • Gather feedback from the team through surveys and conversations to identify areas where we can do better
  • Work with our People Business Partners and People Operations teams to develop policies that reflect our values and ensure our work experience aligns with them
  • Keep an eye on latest workplace trends and share ideas with the team
  • Collaborate with different teams to plan and organize events, workshops, and recognition programs. 
  • Monitor the performance of workplace initiatives and suggest ways we can further enhance our workplace
  • Answer phones, greet visitors, and address general inquiries
  • Please note this is a contract position

Our Grimes distribution center is easily accessible for our team members from across the Des Moines metropolitan area.

About You

  • You have at least 2 years experience workplace operations or facilities management in a warehouse or distribution center
  • You have demonstrated experience in workplace management, employee engagement, or related roles
  • You have a solid grasp of workplace design, employee well-being, and team dynamics
  • You are familiar with workplace design, employee well-being, and team dynamics
  • You have strong communication skills to engage with employees at all levels
  • You have proven ability to manage projects, work with multiple teams, and meet deadlines
  • You are experienced in using workplace technology, including Google Workspace
  • You have onsite availability for five days a week
  • You show punctual attendance and accurate completion of assigned tasks to contribute to our distribution center success
