  What you’ll be spending your time on:

We’re looking for an excellent and experienced Product Manager to join the Merchant Services Product team and take part in building the Payoneer Checkout product.

Payoneer Checkout is a recently launched product, that offers a payment processing for e-commerce small-and-medium sized businesses, enabling SMBs to accept payments in their online shop, from customers all around the world.

You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll out products & features that deliver Payoneer Checkout vision and strategy. You will use data, customer feedback & stakeholder interviews to define and drive the product.

You will be part of our Billing team, and responsible for the end-2-end product management of this domain.

You will own the SMB’s customer journey in the area of how pricing & fees work, how they are executed all the way to getting paid. The cross-functional Billing team owns the core billing engine, billing modules and middleware used to bill & settle the merchants using different payment acceptance products offered by Payoneer Merchant Services.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Own the product area of billing, fees/tariffs, how we charge fees to our customers, how we pay out the merchants funds for their ecommerce business. Define and own the mission and drive related requirements to an amazing customer and stakeholder experience.
  • Manage customers' needs and stakeholders expectations regarding our products and features, following our product life cycle.
  • Own the product roadmap and manage the product requirements with our external vendors, your team and your partners across other teams you need to contribute.
  • Be the go-to-person for our go-to-market and product teams and consult them developing our pricing strategies. You take accountability to execute them.
  • Collaborate with a distributed cross-functional team to develop, market, and launch products & features globally and end-2-end.
  • Use customer feedback, analytics, market research, usability studies, and competitive analysis to drive decision-making.
  • Define product KPIs and drive the team to meet them. Identify areas for improvements in the product. Monitor product and business performance, and taking action as needed to drive business success
  • Work closely with the R&D team to define requirements and ensure the end-to-end high-quality product delivery. Be able to work in an agile methodology including defining user stories & UX.
    • Document requirements in Confluence and other tools we use, ownership of the derived functional requirements
    • Develop concepts and specifications for internal developers and external vendors; be able to adapt to different software development methodologies vendors apply.
    • Create and manage Jira tickets related to product roadmap and tasks for our developers, delivery engineers, vendors etc.
    • Identify dependencies and risks for our deliverables and transparent communication in this regard
    • Ensure that the features and products we develop are re-usable, extendable and part of a unified big picture
  • Assisting with issues troubleshooting and resolution in case previous lines of support cannot help
Have you done this kind of stuff?
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, at least 3 of them in product management roles. Preferably with experience in Fintech, Banking, Payment & credit-card industries
  • Sound understanding of all product & technical aspects of a FinTech product and its complexity, incl. customer experience, operability, etc.
  • Strong experience and skills in managing vendors and complex external software. Have a grip on commercials, the change management, your budget, and be able to manage different software development methodologies applied by vendors (e.g. waterfall)
  • A solid understanding how product pricing concepts work, insights into tariff building and related mechanics with calculating amounts due, e.g. from ecommerce, telecommunication or similar financial flows is of help.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to lead and drive discovery and execution with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical, data-informed decision-making skills, business thinking, independent and organized
  • Perfect skills related to the documentation, explanation, presentation and visualization of concepts, data, product & technical information
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in implementing products using agile methodologies working with your own team
  • Problem-solving approach to the potential challenges of modern product & software development landscape
  • An engineering/technical/QA background is a plus
  • Fluent in English, with experience in an English working environment
  • Fast learner, ready to read a lot of technical documentation and adapt to the fast-changing environment
Desired skills and knowledge
  • Knowledge in payments and ideally merchant-facing acceptance and acquiring / FinTech / Payment processing products & the market
  • Knowledge of how merchant billing & settlement works
  • Knowledge in the general accounting and B2B payouts domains
  • Experience working with Jira and Confluence or similar tools as a power user
  • Experience with Miro, Lucidchart, Figma or any other diagramming / collaboration / prototyping tools
