The community you will join:

Airbnb is seeking a Business Analytics Intern to join the EMEA Geos team within the Hosting organization. This paid, 6-12 month internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our mission of making Airbnb locally relevant and globally accessible.

The Hosting Team plays a critical role in strategizing and implementing growth plans across various regions—including the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), Central and Eastern Europe, UKI (United Kingdom and Ireland), Nordic, and the Netherlands—to foster a resonant connection with our diverse communities.

The difference you will make:

You’ll experience first-hand what it is like to work on the Hosting Geos team and can expect your project work will entail the following:

  • Data analysis and dashboard development - create comprehensive dashboards that integrate both external and internal datasets, offering key insights into trends, patterns, and untapped opportunities
  • Strategic expansion support - assist in our strategic expansion efforts into new markets, which includes, but is not limited to, tracking progress, implementing strategies, and evaluating new growth opportunities
  • Campaign performance tracking - play a crucial role in monitoring the adoption rates and performance metrics of our newest campaigns, contributing to their ongoing optimization.
  • Program support and management - provide essential support in launching and managing key programs, ensuring they align with our business goals and enhance community engagement.

 

A typical day:

As an intern, you’ll be integrated into a team where you’ll contribute to challenging projects. Your manager, team, and our incredible employee community will strive to be superhosts to you during the summer. We provide the support, mentorship, fun, and real world experience needed to accelerate your learning and make a real impact on our product, as Airbnb revolutionizes connection, belonging, and travel. You can expect to:

  • Own and complete a project from beginning to end
  • Collaborate with multiple team members to achieve project milestones
  • Communicate with stakeholders across different teams to provide project updates
  • Seek and provide feedback throughout the internship
  • Actively participate in and contribute to the Hosting team and broader Airbnb community

 

Your expertise:

  • You're a recent graduate or are currently completing your degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Econometrics, or a related technical field. 
  • You possess analytical skills supported by proficiency in SQL, Python, and Excel/Google Spreadsheets. 
  • Your experience with Redspot, Superset, Tableau, or similar tools enables you to visualize data effectively.
  • Critical thinking, organization, proactive innovation, and the ability to prioritize tasks reflect your methodical approach to solving problems and exploring data-driven hypotheses.
  • Your excellent communication skills and collaborative spirit make you a valuable team player, eager to apply your insights to impact our hosts' and guests' experiences positively.
  • You have gained your skills and knowledge through internships, academic projects, volunteer work, or other practical experiences. 

Nice to have:

  • Fluency in English is required for this role, and additional proficiency in German is highly valued, though not mandatory. 

 

Your location:

This position is hybrid and you must be living in London or Berlin with work authorization in the respective country - sponsorship and relocation is unavailable.
