Commercial Finance Director
We are looking to hire an exceptional individual to build and lead our newly created Commercial Finance function. This role sits within our Finance team, reporting directly to our CFO, at an exciting stage in our journey, as we continue to grow and scale the business. This is an exciting opportunity to drive real transformational changes and add real value in our journey to become a universal symbol of trust.
What you’ll be doing:
- Build out a newly formed Commercial Finance Function to effectively business partner with the Go To Market Function
- Provide in-depth financial analysis and insight to support delivery of the overall functional business strategy
- Provide analysis and deliver insight that links financial reports to business strategies
- Provide effective commercial insights and procedures, or initiate change, to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered
- Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams
- Proactively challenge and support stakeholders
- Guide commercial leaders in delivering sustainable and profitable growth
- Assist commercial leaders in producing sales forecasts and in managing their budgets / headcount plans
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects impacting the GTM Org such as new pricing structure, new product monetization
- Explore & recommend efficiency savings, sharing best practice
- Improve the impact, and understanding, of financial reporting on business performance
- Ensure strong financial controls alongside accurate and insightful budgeting, forecasting, KPI & reporting processes to facilitate effective oversight and commercial decision making
Who you are:
- A strong leader who has experience of building a Commercial Finance Function
- Strategic and critical thinking/thinker
- Proven track record of improving commercial performance through financial analysis
- Strong ability to understand Trustpilot’s business models and its link to strategy
- Focused on the big picture whilst being able to dive deep when needed
- Can demonstrate the ability to build deep and strong business relationships
- Deep technical savviness, goes beyond Excel, adept at using more advancedplanning and analytics tools
- A fun, dynamic and positive personality, who remains calm under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work and build relationships across all levels/functions of a global company, including the Executive Leadership team
- Confident to exercise judgement and work with limited day-to-day oversight
- A hands-on approach, who is comfortable working independently or within a small focused team
- Exceptional analytical skills
