Together, we’re solving real problems for real people.As Lead Payroll Operations, you provide a best-in-class payroll service for Personio customers. Your efforts drive customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement of our end-to-end payroll customer journey and payroll processes, which directly translates into a high customer lifetime value and active Personio promoters.Your tasks and responsibilities will include:Leadership 

  • Build, lead, and develop a team of up to 10 Payroll Specialists. 
  • Manage and continuously improve your team’s performance in conducting software implementations, and providing inbound product & technical support.
Operational Success
  • You drive the satisfaction and timely payroll of your DACH Personio customers through high-class software and payroll support.
  • You are involved in the day-to-day payroll operations as the go-to expert for your team and customers. This includes: building a solid understanding of our customers’ specific payroll needs, supporting with your in-depth payroll subject matter expertise and managing escalations.
Payroll Process & Product Improvement
  • Identify improvement potentials for all internal payroll operation processes to increase the quality, efficiency, and flexibility in the team. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (e.g. Product, Sales, Customer Success) to: solve technical and complex payroll issues of our customers; and provide feedback to further enhance our product.
  • Continuously expand your knowledge about changes and updates on payroll processes and the Personio product.

What you need to succeed

  • Business proficiency in German and a good command of English.
  • At least 5 years of operational experience in end-to-end German payroll processing by supporting a payroll tool, process, or services, and experience with customer communication.
  • Ideally, at least 2 years of leadership experience, leading and hiring a team.
  • Tech-savviness is a plus.
  • A team player, empathetic and move mountains to ensure the satisfaction of your customers.
  • You have the highest standards for quality and diligence in your work.
