Sales Manager - Balkans and East Med

We are now searching for a talented Sales Manager to join our contracting team. The role is based in either Croatia (home working) or in our London or Berlin offices. Reporting to the Senior Sales Manager, this person will take responsibility for negotiating contracts for hotel products directly with suppliers in Slovenia and Montenegro, as well as in smaller regions such as Malta, Cyprus, and Turkey.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining existing business relationships and contracting new hotels in the region across our range of product types
  • Identifying a pipeline of sales that offer a constant diversity of product across your region, from country hotels and spas to chic and boutique in the city, from beach resorts to self-catering apartments
  • Drive the commercial growth of your region by building strong relationships with decision makers in the supply chain
  • Managing all elements of the contracting process from target identification and initial contact right through to pricing, contract agreement, allocation management and ongoing account management
  • Close collaboration with other departments – particularly with Operations, Sales Steering & Revenue, Customer Service

What we are looking for:

  • A proven Sales Manager with a track record of successful contracting in the travel industry. Experience of negotiating contracts with GM’s/Revenue Managers/Owners in Balkan region is essential, experience in contracting hotels in Malta, Cyprus and Turkey is a plus
  • Fluent English & any of Balkan languages
  • Excellent account management, business development and negotiation skills
  • Good knowledge of the inbound travel market
  • Possess a black book of contacts for hoteliers in the region
  • Good general knowledge of the travel market
  • Ability to travel when required 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce
  • Category B driving licence
