We are looking for a Senior Data Partnerships & Business Development Manager to join our unique team. 

The strategic data partnerships team mission is to scope, explore, secure, maintain, and grow data partnerships with companies world-wide that generate valuable data metrics to power Similarweb’s capabilities and digital insight platform, used by R&D and Similarweb’s products, while being a source of innovation that introduces new capabilities and value enablement.

The role will report to the Director of Strategic Business Development and Data Partnerships.

Why is this role so important at Similarweb?

The Data Partnerships team is incharge of the full relationship cycle with companies that see business value in integrating their data into Similarweb’s products, solution and services.

By using external partners’ data, we drive core impact on helping Similarweb to grow the data intelligence business, expand offerings to clients and conquer new markets.

By licensing data to Similarweb, companies can benefit from a fresh new revenue stream, strategically understand hidden values and monetization opportunities from their owned data and products, as well as mutually benefit from Similarweb’s insights platform.

We are looking for a strong individual to identify, nurture and manage new opportunities in mapped and in untapped use cases to expand our growth of the data licensing business.

The day to day of the role:

  • Leading from exploration to execution the data partnership deals cycle - reachouts, negotiation, R&D validations, and contracting
  • Research, mapping & sourcing different products and companies as potential data partners, building a pipeline of potential partners and detecting the relevant stakeholders to engage with
  • Managing the value exploration projects, working closely with R&D leaders, Legal and finance, understanding potential avenues of data utilization for the business, championing the opportunities internally and externally
  • Manage end to end the ongoing partners’ relations - onboarding new partners into Similarweb and overseeing the utilization plan to ensure best use of the partnership, proactively drive contract expansions and costs optimizations, performance monitoring, billing and more

Requirements:

  • +4 years of commercial & business experience navigating significant success in strategic relationship management
  • Excellent project management and zoom-in & out capabilities, extremely details oriented, and critical thinker
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills (including with senior executives)
  • Ability to influence, confidently handle objections, and resolve complex issues of different stakeholders
  • Robust analytical skills that can be projected to new knowledge bases
  • Data driven by heart - excited to search and understand the data collection and value world, able to successfully apply quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify and solve problems
  • Able to understand complex and multi-layered structures and opportunities
  • Experience client-direct sales and and be highly successful at running consultative sales processes in large, complex prospect organizations
  • Proven success in complex c-level negotiations, including all technical, compliance, legal and commercial aspects within enterprise globally.
  • Trustworthy, reliable and independent
  • Team player able to effectively interact with colleagues and business partners across the company
  • Past experience in data & OEM related partnerships is an advantage
