The Partner Sales Enablement team, reporting into the GTM Enablement department, is responsible for building world-class learning and certification programs to create external partner champions, increase partner-sourced sales opportunities, and improve customer outcomes. Partner Sales Enablement aligns with our Partner sales team to enable our external partners including system integrators, cloud, ISVs, OEM, and tech partners.

This role is a first-line manager position, based in USA West, leading a four India-based team of program managers. This role has two main focuses 1) enabling partners to build sales and pre-sales engineering capabilities and 2) enabling partners to implement and deliver MongoDB projects successfully. This position reports to the Director of GTM Effectiveness

This role is an integral part of the GTM Enablement department, supporting our partner sales revenue targets. 

Key areas of responsibilities include:

  • Creating and owning the partner enablement strategy to support our global partner ecosystem (system integrators, VAR, Tech, ISV, and Cloud including AWS, GCP, and MS Azure)
  • Managing an India-based team of enablement program managers to coordinate and deliver education and certification programs to our partners
  • Teaming with our partners, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to expand course and certification offerings for our partners
  • Collaborating with the Partner Solution Architect Team to design impactful curriculum and facilitation
  • Designing learning journeys for various sales, pre-sales, and post-sales partner personas
  • Collaborating with marketing and partner program teams to promote partner certification offerings
  • Providing subject matter expertise to internal and external stakeholders on enablement and certification best practices 
  • Designing new processes to scale the delivery for ILT, VILT, and e-learning offerings
  • Working with cross-functional operational and technical teams to automate learning operations for efficiency and scale
  • Teaming with MongoDB University team to enhance the partner learning experience through improved systems and processes

In your first 60 days, you will 

  • Familiarize yourself with our business model and Partner Go-to-Market strategy
  • Attend new hire sales training to learn about MongoDB’s technology, what we sell, and how we sell 
  • Gain competency with our partner enablement tech stack (Custom web-forms, Thought Industries LMS, Segment, Salesforce, and Tableau) 
  • Review all partner enablement offerings and look for opportunities for improvement
  • Dive deep into team objectives and individual responsibilities, looking for opportunities to prioritize and improve team productivity

Within 120 Days, you will

  • Be confident explaining our enablement offerings to partners and stakeholders
  • Share your informed point of view and vision with the team and stakeholders for buy in
  • Develop key relationships cross-functionally to support partner enablement programs and delivery
  • Identify process and systems improvements and work with operations teams to form a roadmap of enhancements 

As you grow, you will

  • Lead strategic enablement initiatives impacting the worldwide partner sales organization and our partners
  • Proactively identify opportunities for strategy, program, content and facilitation innovations
  • Be a leader on the Sales Enablement team, with a deep understanding of our product offerings, growth opportunities, and our culture and values
  • Be known as a Subject Matter Expert on Partner Go to Market and enablement at MongoDB
  • Influence cross-functional teams to support partner enablement initiatives

The ideal candidate will have... 

  • 2+ years in sales enablement and/or partner enablement.
  • 1+ year experience leading a team of 3 or more individual contributors
  • A background in creating customer or partner learning programs for scale including ILT, VILT, and e-learning delivery models
  • Experience teaming with operations, partner programs, and partner marketing to advance partner enablement program priorities
  • A track record of developing impactful strategic programs with measurable business impact
  • Self-starter mentality with a high degree of follow through -  can own and take tasks through to completion
  • A high degree of confidence and poise when presenting to a sales audience and internal and external executives
  • Interpersonal and influence skills-  ability to network inside the company, create relationships, and influence other teams to get work done
  • Familiarity with databases, developers and open source technology a plus
  • Willingness and ability to work early mornings to accommodate meetings with the India-based team but also to attend west-coast partner meetings
  • Willingness and ability to travel to within the US and internationally 10% of the time
  • This role is based remotely in the USA with preference to candidates located within the Austin, TX area

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role in the U.S. is:$98,000—$193,000 USD
