The Role

Meet our awesome go to market - Sales & Partnerships department. Together we actively contribute to Personio’s growth by building meaningful commercial partnerships and winning new SME customers so that they can unlock their full HR potential. As Team Lead Partnerships in our GTM (Go-To-Market) Partnerships Team, you drive a key part of Personio’s growth strategy and with your team are responsible for expanding and developing our portfolio of Consulting partners and for building a strong joint customer base. 

Jointly with our partners we digitise SMEs’ people operations through the use of Personio. Additionally, through our partner portfolio, we offer our customers the opportunity to find e.g. the HR/IT Consultant that best fits their needs. Thereby we add to the long-term satisfaction of our customers.

Reporting to the Head of GTM Partnerships, you will have a broad remit and the unique opportunity to work in one of the fastest growing companies in Europe, accelerating Personio’s growth via our numerous partnerships channels.

Responsibilities: 

  • You lead a team of partner managers with a focus on winning new partners, developing commercial partnerships and strengthening the joint customer base with our partners 

  • You drive the development of joint business (models) with partners 

  • You structure and steer your team’s work 

  • You set priorities for and OKRs with your team

  • You collaborate with the department lead on target setting and budget planning

  • Jointly with partner managers, you represent Personio at events with partners and their clients, evaluate customer-fit, share know-how and drive engagement with Personio 

  • You independently drive continuous improvement in the collaboration with our partners, incl. strategic focus and optimization of existing processes 

  • You develop new and existing training and event formats and define necessary materials for knowledge sharing or marketing purposes

  • You lead and grow your team and actively develop our partner managers by making use of data, giving individual feedback and conducting workshops and training to enhance the team’s skills

Preferred start date: September or October 2023

What you need to succeed

  • 5+ years professional experience in Sales (strategy), Account or Partner management or in strategy consulting

  • At least 2 years of leadership experience and strong leadership skills 

  • You hold an academic degree, ideally a Master’s 

  • You bring strong commercial acumen and interest, ideally you have worked towards commercial goals before

  • You are characterised by a proactive, solution-oriented and structured working style and steer your work based on numbers and results 

  • You are used to juggling a variety of topics with different stakeholders while maintaining high quality standards

  • You communicate clearly and find it easy to build trust & buy-in with our partners

  • You quickly gain respect from senior business partners and decision makers

  • You are enthusiastic about software technology and are looking for a dynamic environment, in which you can build and develop scalable process and team structures

  • You are fluent in German and English
