Personio’s Customer Experience (CX) department follows the mission to Maximize customer value through a seamless experience. Different functions onboard, support, educate, renew and expand our customers during their journey with us. As VP Customer Success, you will head two impactful customer-facing teams, Customer Success and Customer Growth that drive product adoption, retention and expansion. Together with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Data, Business Systems and other CX leaders, you create a consistent experience for different customer segments along their journey with Personio. Also, you will help shape company and product strategy by representing the voice of our customers through aggregated insights from your teams and vice versa translate strategic direction in the most effective execution.

Your efforts will result in customers’ realizing the return on their investment in us and thereby creating long lasting relationships. Building on this, your team drives the continued growth of our customers with Personio, influencing our net revenue retention and customer lifetime value.

Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

  • You Craft a Comprehensive Customer Adoption, Retention & Expansion Strategy: You shape and champion an all-encompassing vision and strategy for effectively growing our existing business, specifically driving the attachment rate of our app portfolio through a strong sales practice and strengthening our already best-in-class retention rates
  • You Build a Leading Customer Success Team: You build, mentor, and guide a high-performing group of people, instilling a customer-centric culture and strong sales mindset. You ensure that your teams have everything they need, from enablement to data, to focus on their mission.
  • You Execute Hands-on and Engage with Customers: You take a hands-on approach, immersing yourself regularly in operations, closely collaborating with teams, and directly engaging with customers. For example, securing successful outcomes of more challenging negotiations.
  • You Collaborate Across Departments: Customer success and growth are a team sport. You partner with senior leaders across Personio to create a cohesive customer experience and provide strategic, data-backed guidance for both the development of our product and service offerings, aiming to optimize lifetime value.

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

  • You have successfully scaled and orchestrated ideally both, Customer Success and Commercial Account Management in a fast-growing tech environment.
  • You have experience in successfully running revenue teams within a context of hyper growth and extremely ambitious targets.
  • You bring a deep understanding for B2B SaaS model and how to best drive adoption and retention.
  • You have successfully managed teams that are at the intersection of technical expertise and consultation-like value delivery.
  • You work highly collaboratively and enjoy finding common ground or, better, enlarge the pie.
  • You effectively collaborated with senior stakeholders and coached your team to do the same (for example bringing customer topics to key strategic/management decisions through compelling communications, building compelling cases for investment areas and new ways of working).
  • You are creative, open and communicative with very good written and spoken English. German and/or Spanish are a plus.
