Why We Have This Role
Our accounting ops manager plays a critical role in leading our operational subject matter experts, setting and reporting on KPIs, driving process and system improvements, and helping make strategic improvements or our core operational processes.
Things You’ll Do
- Lead a team of accounting operations subject matter experts over AP, billing, and collections.
- Assist in developing KPIs and reporting metrics used by accounting operations shared services center.
- Help develop targets and incentives for the accounting operations shared services center.
- Work closely with the accounting operations shared services center team members on process optimization and system enhancements.
- Report to the Global Head of Accounting on accounting ops performance.
- Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and best practices.
- Work with internal and external auditors.
- Assist with other accounting operations duties and ad-hoc requests
- Mentor and coach other team members.
- Degree in accounting, finance, or other applicable field and a minimum of 6+ years of experience
- CPA certification preferred
- Working knowledge of accounting operations and generally accepted accounting principles
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to remain flexible in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
- Able to work within a team environment effectively, as well as function independently
- Great oral and written communication skills to interact with upper levels of management
