Summary:

We’re looking for an Associate Director of Growth and Accelerator central team, to lead strategic and operational initiatives that create both growth and efficiency across the company. In this role, you will work directly with multiple stakeholders, including executive leadership and various cross-functional departments to successfully implement key initiatives. You will impact Agoda’s business through exploring new business opportunities, analysing complex scaling challenges, and improve existing operations. We’re looking for the future leaders of Agoda who think critically, learn from mistakes, and adapt quickly. This position offers high visibility with senior management and with other departments within the company.

Role & Responsibilities: 

Strategy 

  • Be a direct contributor and the co-owner of the Growth & Accelerator Team central strategy, juggling between central function priorities & local needs
  • Incorporate every region’s strategy into the Growth & Accelerator model making sure the central model is protected but results delivered are matching with local needs

Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate with supply department leadership and regional leadership on strategic planning and objectives
  • Collaborate closely with each of the country directors to understand their needs and objectives, serving both the countries interest as well as keeping the central function operating model intact
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, support, operations or central teams, to ensure alignment and overall business strategies.

Business:

  • Be responsible for the function’s business performance on all key business metrics
  • Deliver on department commercial and profitability targets
  • Understand, drive and improve the current function operating model globally and deliver recommendations locally to maximize revenue generation
  • Be the first point of escalation for local matters

Analytics

  • Utilize data-driven insights and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of current operations
  • Make data-backed recommendations for improvements on current function operating model, or local initiatives to central stakeholders as department head or product team.

People Management

  • Directly manage the central team composed by Managers & Analysts, and have a dotted line with the entire function (200+ people)
  • Capacity to lead, give a vision and motivate the whole organization
  • Key stakeholder in the recruiting of any senior position in the function, as well as stakeholder in other local supply teams recruiting
  • Propose recommendation to  optimize resource allocation and achieve maximum ROI

In this Role, you'll get to:

  • Lead, coach and develop a multifunctional team responsible for growing our local business
  • Implement strategies with top partners to enhance productivity and opportunities to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Deliver on country commercial and profitability targets.
  • Lead the relation with top local and selected regional partners.
  • Coordinate with top management on strategic planning and objectives.
  • Conduct market research into trends in the industry and the Indian market to ensure the competitiveness of Agoda’s products.
  • Attend and participate in relevant industry events.

What you'll Need to Succeed:

  • More than 8+ years of professional experience
  • Past success in leading, coaching and developing teams
  • Relevant account management, business development or general management experience
  • Strong numerical & analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to successfully communicate proposals to potential partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker, management consulting experience highly valued
  • Experience in online/ e-commerce business preferred
  • MBA from a well-known institution preferred.
