Supplier Acquisition & Onboarding at Wayfair is responsible for increasing Wayfair’s revenue by identifying, approaching, onboarding, and managing new suppliers. This is your opportunity to join our fast-paced and talented team on our mission to conquer the European market by adding the most promising industry suppliers from countries all over the continent and ensuring they are set up for success by coaching them for their first 6 months on Wayfair. We are at the forefront when it comes to expanding Wayfair’s selection and we constantly seek new business opportunities within our chosen product categories and markets.

For this role, we are seeking an entrepreneurial individual to manage the supplier onboarding experience for our European Supplier Acquisition & Onboarding program. In this role, you’ll work with external partners, our suppliers, and internal cross-functional teams to set up and onboard suppliers onto Wayfair. You will own the overall supplier acquisition process, from identifying the lead to negotiating supplier partnership contracts and coaching suppliers as they ramp on Wayfair. You will be working closely with senior members of the organization to influence and execute the strategy for the program overall.

 

What You'll Do

  • Work within a dynamic, motivated and driven team based in Berlin - own your categories end to end including acquisition, onboarding and supplier management after going live on site. Contribute to the company’s ambitious growth targets
  • Contact suppliers to pitch the opportunity of partnering with Wayfair
  • Cultivate business relationships, and create solutions as you build your lead pipeline
  • Negotiate optimal supplier agreements to drive mutually beneficial business relationships with new suppliers
  • Manage a supplier portfolio after suppliers officially launch on Wayfair. Coach your supplier on topics including assortment, merchandising, pricing, and promotions.
  • Attend trade shows and supplier meetings to discuss potential partnerships and business performance.
  • Establish and maintain an effective professional relationships to gain trust, buy-in, and respect with business partners, both internal and external stakeholders
  • Use data to analyze and interpret your categories’ and suppliers’ performance
  • Competitor and market trend knowledge to make strategic acquisition decisions

 

What You'll Need

  • You have completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • You are fluent in English & Polish, written and spoken
  • You have at least 1 year of professional experience in sales or eCommerce and a proven track record of reaching or exceeding your targets
  • You have demonstrated success in building business relationships with internal and external stakeholders 
  • You have previously demonstrated the ability to lead successful commercial and contractual negotiations
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset with hands-on commercial experience
  • You are comfortable in a technology-driven, numbers-oriented business environment
  • You have demonstrated ability to work within a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • You have a strong process orientation and have an efficient and self-organized way of working
