Come be HR at an HR company, where you’ll be a valued partner every day. As a Director, People Business Partner at Personio, you are responsible for leading the people strategy, partnering with our CTO and functional leaders within our technology departments. You will lead a team of People Business Partners to create scalable impact for Personio’s largest function (Product & Tech).You will develop and execute effective people plans that enable the tech functions to achieve their short and long term goals, ensuring alignment with the overall Personio people vision and strategic pillars.

Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

People Business Partnership:

  • Partner with CTO and senior leaders to successfully master our people cycles around performance growth, compensation, engagement, team dynamics and workforce planning;

  • Create and deliver commercially-aligned people plans, including workforce, organizational development in collaboration with leaders within the tech functions;

  • Lead on complex employee relations cases, coaching leaders to upskill and tackle earlier, whilst identifying emerging trends.

People Strategy: 

  • Strategise and support on company-wide People initiatives, including performance review processes, calibration processes, talent reviews;

  • Analyse people data and identify trends that inform decisions on people strategy, programs, and processes. This includes regular reporting on key people metrics and engagement planning;

  • Activate and deliver all core Personio people activities together with your team.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Employ and reiterate operational discipline via partnering with the Talent and Reward team to ensure efficiency and accuracy in organizational design, compensation, titling and levelling across core functions;

  • Partner with internal COEs to continually develop relevant and engaging people programs that continually elevate the calibre of the workforce within tech functions, ensuring applicable metrics are regularly assessed to signal the right level of adoption;

  • Strong collaboration with the other People & Workplace teams to ensure smooth people operations. 

Team Leadership: 

  • Lead a team of People Business Parters. Coach and develop the team, while acting as a key member of the People Business Partner leadership;

  • Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, fostering a positive and productive work environment, setting clear expectations, providing support, and motivating your team members.

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

You have:

  • Proven track record of 8+ years as a People/ HR Business Partner, with solid experience partnering with technology departments;

  • Prior experience working in a fast-growing technology-focused environment, with experience in leading/coaching a team;

  • Ability to translate corporate/departmental strategies into people strategy and concrete road map/projects/initiatives;

  • Ability to achieve results in a fast-paced environment and navigate leaders through a variety of organizational changes;

  • Experience in all the following topics: performance management, compensation, talent management, workforce planning, employee engagement, DEI;

  • Outstanding interpersonal and influencing skills; demonstrated ability to develop relationships and influence at multiple levels within the organization.

  • Empathetic with people so that you build trust quickly throughout your area of responsibility;

  • A master balancing all levels of stakeholders at ease but specifically C-level and senior leadership;

  • Strong in stakeholder management, building and maintaining a reliable, cross-departmental network as the basis for a good company-wide collaboration;

  • A tech-savvy, data-driven person with strong analytical skills, as well as adept at managing complex projects.
