As a Logistics Manager at Luminar Technologies Inc, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient flow of materials and products throughout the supply chain. You will be responsible for managing the logistics operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory levels, minimize transportation costs, and maintain smooth operations. This is a challenging and dynamic role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of logistics processes in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and resolve logistics issues and bottlenecks to ensure timely delivery of products
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for safety and quality
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to streamline operations and achieve cost savings
  • Lead the North American logistics team in Orlando and oversee outsourced operations in Texas and Mexico
  • Develop and mentor the Logistics team
  • Strive for process excellence across freight and logistics networks, conduct thorough root cause and corrective actions
  • Develop and enforce standards, guidelines and policies for warehousing, packaging, documentation, communications, reporting, etc
  • Optimize logistics and warehouse costs through benchmarking and audits
  • Help develop and track key operational and financial metrics
  • Perform periodic carrier reviews for performance and future engagements
  • Develop cost estimates and forecasts and RFPs for multiple bids
  • Onboard new vendors for logistics
  • Review material vendor agreements for best practices in incoterms, logistics and tariffs
  • Help develop operational plans to support pilots and project roll outs for new products and customers
  • Assist in global logistic roll outs
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Strong knowledge of logistics principles, processes, and best practices

At Luminar, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays a base between $85,100 and $119,100 per year. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. You will also be eligible to receive other benefits including: equity in the form of restricted stock unit awards, comprehensive medical and dental coverage, 401k plan, life and disability benefits, flexible time off, paid parental leave, and tuition reimbursement for formal education related to advancing your career at Luminar. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire and schedule type.
