Twilio is growing rapidly and seeking a Manager, Accounts Payable to run the day to day operations of Accounts Payable Support in India. The person in this role will also assist the Senior Manager, Accounts Payable in process design, auditing process compliance as well as process improvement and automation. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Accounts payable, this position is critical in supporting Twilio’s organic as well as inorganic growth.  

The Accounts Payable team is central to Twilio's continued growth. We work closely with Procurement and business stakeholders to ensure our vendors are paid timely. As our global footprint expands we need to develop a team to support our operations and you will be a key leader in building our team in India.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

As a Manager, Account Payable, you will live the Twilio Magic values:

  • WRITE IT DOWN: Analyze and document key processes.
  • DRAW THE OWL: Identify and qualify risks and design mitigating controls. 
  • BE AN OWNER & BE BOLD: Lead or assist in all aspects of the daily operation of Accounts payable. Inspire and motivate your team to reach higher.
  • DON’T SETTLE: Challenge existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • WEAR THE CUSTOMER’S SHOES: Spend the time to deeply understand our stakeholders and solve problems from their perspective.

Required:

Twilio is looking for a leader who lives the Twilio Magic and has a demonstrated track record of leading Accounts Payable teams in the past.

  • 6-8 years experience in Accounts Payable.
  • 3+ years of experience managing people in Accounts Payable.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluency in managing performance via key operational metrics. 
  • Understanding of US GAAP accounting principles and SOX.
  • Excited to learn new things and share that knowledge across the team.
  • Preference for someone with prior experience in Oracle Fusion.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. 
  • Shift timings: EMEA (01:00 PM - 10:00 PM IST)

This role will be based in RMZ Ecoworld Bangalore, India
