The Sales Strategy & Operations (SS&O) team guides and deploys critical business decisions across the advertising sales organization through strategy, analytics and operations. Team members are experts in business strategy and operations and analytical and strategic thinking. They are pragmatic and results-oriented.

As a Manager, Sales Strategy & Operations, Resourcing you’ll lead the allocation of resources (including full-time employee headcount, contractors and opex) across the global sales organization to support long-term revenue growth objectives. You will partner with Sales and cross-functional leaders on strategic projects, priority insights, and critical improvements to existing processes for sales resourcing. 

What you’ll do:

  • Define roadmap and deliverables for the Sales Resourcing team; support resourcing roadmap for the global sales organization alongside sales leaders, HR, Compensation, and Finance teams
  • Lead 2x/year reviews of GSO-wide resource allocation, including gathering input, conducting analysis, forming recommendations, and presenting to CRO and CRO Directs
  • Develop principles/frameworks for headcount allocation and prioritization, across both seller and GSS teams, in coordination with Sales Finance and Sales Leadership
  • Own cross-functional partnership with Finance, HR, Recruiting on resourcing topics; Influences senior leaders with insights and recommendations regarding resourcing approach, acts as a trusted partner across XFN teams
  • Define seller productivity metrics to assess optimal resource allocation; oversee analysis of productivity and present insights to sales leadership
  • Influence cross-functional partners to complete necessary work on data/systems foundations to enable resourcing processes and insights
  • Improve upon approach to leave coverage across the global sales organization, including for seller and non-seller roles
  • Contribute to resourcing-related projects as part of annual and mid-year planning for the global sales organization, in alignment with company planning timelines
  • Educate sales leaders and people managers about overall resourcing principles, process, and outcomes in partnership with Sales Enablement
  • Directly manage 1 FTE, oversee contractor, and coverage vendor

What we’re looking for:

  • 10+ years of professional experience in strategy & operations in highly analytical environments such as management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy or technology/media companies
  • A strong track record of identifying key questions, connecting the dots, performing analyses independently, and communicating findings in a clear and concise way
  • Must have strong data analytics skills, including Excel & SQL. Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau is a plus
  • Strong track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams and driving alignment across teams and senior stakeholders
  • Proven ability to drive impact in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Organized, detail-oriented and strategically focused
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of sales and digital advertising platforms and working knowledge of sales systems and tools is a plus
  • Our PinFlex future of work philosophy requires this role to visit a Pinterest office for collaboration approximately 1x per quarter. For employees not located within a commutable distance from this in-office touchpoint, Pinterest will cover T&E. Learn more about PinFlex here
