About this team: 

Liftoff is seeking a full time People Operations Specialist to join our People Operations Team. The People Operations team is responsible for complete global people operations support including: Answering employee inquiries that come through our HR Ticketing System, leave management, benefits support and administration, employee onboarding and offboarding, immigration and providing support to our People Business Partner team. We strive to offer a best-in-class employee experience to all of our employees globally. You will provide support primarily for America's region (The United States, Brazil and Canada)  but will also be responsible for assisting in various people related  programs that impact our global population. This includes assisting with our bi-annual merit and promotion process, employee engagement surveys and serving as a back-up for your co-specialists when they are out of the office.

 

Location:

This role eligible for full-time remote work in one of our entities: CA, CO, ID, IL, FL, GA, MA, MN, MO, NC, NJ, NV, OR, RI, TX, UT, and WA. We are a remote-first company with US hubs in Redwood City, Los Angeles, and NYC.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage current employee data in our global HRIS system, UKG/Ultipro experience a huge plus
  • Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring the integrity of employee data 
  • Utilize our HR Ticketing System and serve as a first  point of contact for employees’ HR-related inquiries, maintain confidentiality, and provide an excellent employee experience.
  • Manage the global HR Onboarding/offboarding processes for all new hires & terms with a focus on the America’s region; including coordinating payroll paperwork, benefits administration and ensuring compliance with work authorization for new hires. 
  • Administer leaves of absence compliance to support seamless employee experiences through Cocoon, our US-based Leave Management System. Additional leave support outside of Cocoon with our Canada and Brazil-based employees.
  • Support the team during Performance and Compensation cycles
  • Support benefits administration and partner with our international benefits partners in the Americas.
  • Collaborate to help implement effective company-wide people processes and improve those we already have in place
  • Serve as a backup for EMEA/APAC-related onboarding/offboarding, leaves, benefits and employee questions.

 

Requirements:

  • Bring 3+  years of HR Generalist/Operations, experiencing working in fast paced technology environments and/or start-up experience preferred
  • Experience managing global HR systems, preferably UKG/Ultipro
  • Prior experience with leave administration in the US (experience with Canada and Brazil is a plus)
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems, including reassigning tickets, categorizing and updating tickets is a plus
  • Value workplace integrity at all times

Liftoff offers all employees a full compensation package that includes equity and health/vision/dental benefits associated with your country of residence. Base compensation will vary based on candidate location and experience. The following are our base salary ranges for this role: 

  • SF Bay Area, New York City, Los Angeles, Orange County: $80,000 - $90,000
  • Seattle/Olympia, Austin, Boston, San Diego, Santa Barbara: $75,000 - $85,000
  • All other cities in our approved to hire states: $70,000 - $80,000
