We are looking for an analytical, action-oriented, and collaborative individual that can translate business problems to actionable insights and data driven solutions to influence operational results. Successful individuals in this role excel at both qualitative and quantitative analysis while also being eager to communicate upward and outward to tell a concise story.  You will play a key role in driving cost savings as we prevent Incidents from happening within our Supply Chain.

The Senior Analyst role will sit on the Transportation Incidence Prevention team which is responsible for preventing and mitigating incidences that occur within the Wayfair Delivery Network (WDN) to improve customer experience. Our team is responsible for providing visibility into quality metrics within the WDN and leveraging data to identify opportunity areas and partnering across several cross functional teams to drive execution.

What You'll Do 

  • Own the Incident Inspection processes within the Transportation space end to end e.g. Inbound inspection of items at Middle Mile, evaluation of how well trailers are set up through the 
  • Engage with cross functional partners - both leaders and on-ground teams, to redesign processes and metrics that are actionable
  • Build dashboards, visualizations and prototypes to translate data sets into driving insights and actions
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and build advanced reports
  • Present insights or analyses to a large audience with pointed business recommendations
  • Communicate regularly with cross functional partners to understand business trends and new ways to break down problems into solutions
  • Work cross-functionally with a variety of teams including Transportation and Delivery, GAT, and Wayfair Deliver Network Tech teams

What You'll Need 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field
  • 2+ years of professional experience
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, SQL or GBQ, and data visualization tools such as Google Data Studio (Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI)
  • Team-first attitude with enthusiasm for cross-functional collaboration
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and mindset; you must be adaptable and comfortable with change

An Important Note about Wayfair's In-Office Policy:

All Boston-based interns, Co-ops, and corporate employees will be in office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office on designated days, Monday - Thursday, and work remotely Friday.
