The Job

For our ambitious team, we are looking for a Senior Food Safety Quality Assurance Technologist to manage the Protein Category.

You will be at the center of driving our quality assurance initiatives, maintaining close contact with other quality assurance team members, warehouse goods-in teams, procurement and culinary teams, and not least our suppliers to ensure that the products we receive are compliant with agreed specifications and in compliance with regulations. You will collaborate across markets, to knowledge share and lead quality projects.

You will have the option to work either at our Copenhagen Office in Islands Brygge or at our warehouses in Moss, Norway or Bjuv, Sweden. The three locations are available for consideration. Your normal work will include onboarding and visiting suppliers, new product approval- including microbial specifications control and labeling creation, you will also be part of our error-reducing projects together with the strategic procurement team to ensure that our customers get the best possible experience.

You will…
  • You will be a food safety,  quality,  and integrity expert, working closely with and supporting HelloFresh teams, including Culinary, Procurement, Customer Care and our Distribution Centers. 
  • Lead the protein category to excellence, working closely with the procurement team and our suppliers to proactively manage suppliers’ compliance with requirements, review and approve supplier specifications and onboard new suppliers and ingredients
  • Support in creating and reviewing product labels and packaging
  • Collaborate with the International FSQA teams on strategic projects successfully adopting and implementing these locally
  • Conduct supplier audits mainly in the Nordics and ensure that suppliers practices conform to both HelloFresh and regulatory standards
  • Analyse error data for trends and developing issues. Work to not only find defects, but also to find the root cause defect and develop sustainable solutions.
  • Maintain accurate quality documentation, goods specification, and supplier data at all times. Continually improve the HelloFresh Specification system.
  • Manage Serious Food Safety complaints for the Nordics across all categories including weekly and monthly trends and investigations and root cause analysis
  • Inspire colleagues to care about our products and brand.
  • Work closely with the Distribution Centre to resolve production issues & manage risks in case of supplier or ingredient related non conformances.
You have…
  • Master's degree in Food Science or similar discipline
  • +2 years of experience from the protein industry
  • A structured approach to work, detail orientation and you take pride in what you do
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English is a must - it's a plus if you're fluent in Swedish, Danish and/or Norwegian
  • Good analytical skills - solid command of Excel/Google Sheets is a must
  • Experience working in a GMP facility is an asset and familiarity with HACCP principles
  • A positive “whatever it takes” mentality that drives you to find solutions quickly and whenever needed
  • Proactive, confident in manner and are able to deal with a large and complex network of suppliers delivering a large quantity and variety of perishable ingredients
  • You are characterized by strong social skills and a confident and friendly demeanor, even in stressful situations
