We are looking for a Senior HR Advisor / HR Business Partner to join our squad and manage the people function in BeNeLux. You will be responsible for the full people experience, from attracting and onboarding new talent to developing and delighting our squad members while striving to make Butternut the best place we have ever worked.

Our values are at the centre of everything we do. When you support a squad member or a manager, it should be with #GenuineCare and an #Open&Honest approach. We’re always #StrivingForBetter, so you should always be looking for new ways to improve things and enhance our squad members' experience.

This role will report to the Country Director and has one direct report. You will work closely with our people teams in the UK and Poland.

🌱 What you’ll get up to:

  • You’ll bring our culture and values to life and build on our Butternut Box culture in collaboration with the leadership team.
  • You’ll design and execute an engagement calendar that focuses on celebrating milestones, team connections and moments of surprise and delight.
  • You’ll manage the recruitment for open roles to attract and identify talent bar raisers, championing candidate experience and inclusivity
  • You’ll be the point of contact for managers and squad members for coaching, guidance and support on people topics including contracts, benefits, recruitment, performance and development.
  • You’ll organise and deliver regular training programs and create development opportunities tailored to the needs of our squad.
  • You’ll take the lead on processing payroll for our Netherlands and Belgium squad members with high levels of accuracy and maintaining squad data in our HR system, Charlie HR.
  • You’ll keep up to date with BeNeLux employment law and working practices, updating our guidelines, documentation and Notion pages as necessary to remain compliant.

👋 A bit about you.

  • Native level Dutch and fluency in English. French would be a plus, but not a requirement
  • You will have demonstrable Human Resources experience with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in all areas of the employee lifecycle.
  • You are comfortable working in a high-growth environment where your work will be crucial to creating delightful experiences for team members
  • You have the ability to balance genuine care and commercial needs to a wide range of people topics.
  • You are excited to strive to make Butternut the best place we have ever worked, as measured through our high eNPS
  • You have experience implementing and communicating people initiatives such as new benefits, review cycles, engagement surveys and development programs
  • You’re comfortable using a variety of HR systems, analysing people's data, and producing regular reports and insights:
    • We use CharlieHR, CultureAmp, Lattice, and Greenhouse as key people's tools. Experience in any of these will be highly regarded but not essential.
  • You have either managed or mentored team members, proactively sharing guidance and advice to enable them to perform at their best
  • You’re comfortable communicating and collaborating with people across all levels and naturally be discreet and operate with integrity
  • You have an eye for detail and are accurate, with a focus on delivery and quality
