CastleGate Forwarding (CGF) is a rapidly growing digital freight forwarding start-up within Wayfair, moving containers across the globe to Wayfair’s shelves and elsewhere. We offer a full suite of shipping services (Asia consolidation, ocean freight, drayage, customs brokerage, cargo insurance, etc.) that aims to provide Wayfair suppliers with competitive and convenient logistics solutions. As part CGF Sales and Service, you will play a key role in growing and executing on our strategic business lines. This is a highly visible and exciting role and one that will offer the right candidate an opportunity to lead a core part of our strategic vision here in Asia and beyond.

What You’ll Do

As the Senior Manager, Head of Service for Asia at CastleGate Forwarding, you will be primarily responsible for:

  • Own the entire Asia Service & Account Management strategy for existing suppliers using CGF’s portfolio of logistics services
  • Develop a 12+ month roadmap for your business unit and division, and drive implementation, team execution, & progress update to senior leadership 
  • Manage a team of  8+ Key Account Managers that oversee and own the commercial relationship for Wayfair’s top suppliers using CGF. Continuously develop and lead the teams to set them up for success in their current roles & beyond
  • Responsible for the Objectives & Key Results for your team in regards to overall portfolio volume, profit margin, and satisfaction, developing a plan for hitting or exceeding company targets
  • Own the supplier relationship for 1-3 key accounts in order to stay close to the business and understand customer needs
  • Build up executive and c-suite level relationships with suppliers’ key stakeholders, supporting your team in necessary business opportunities or issue escalations 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams including but not limited to Operations, Planning, Pricing, Procurement, etc. to drive overall product and process improvements of our end to end services
  • Be the voice for Asia suppliers to global teams, and work with other regions such as North America & Europe to align on global standards for the Sales & Service organization
  • Report out to leadership in weekly/monthly business reviews as needed on progress & gaps to targets. Comfortable with analyzing data and trends, and packaging them to be presented in a story-telling format that gets stakeholder buy-in
  • Participate in the full life cycle of hiring, developing, and training new talent as needed or defined by business needs, working closely with talent management on creating best practices 

What You’ll Need

  • 8+ years’ experience in Account Management, Supply Chain & Logistics, or Consulting roles.
  • 2+ years’ management experience in leading and developing a team. 
  • Full professional proficiency in both English and Mandarin is essential for this role.
  • Experience living & working in both Asia and other countries is a plus.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills leveraging both words and data to engage with audiences ranging from leadership to junior associates.
  • Senior presence, ability to clearly and consistently work side-by-side across functions and departments to digest different points of view in order to drive actionable insights. 
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple cross-functional stakeholders with competing priorities
  • A strong commercial sense, being able to articulate and speak to the voice of the customer 
  • Experience managing and executing large projects from start to finish including project. management, data gathering, problem-solving and communicating recommendations.
  • Very persuasive, with strong ability to articulate complex ideas simply and relationship- building skills.
  • Proficiency with analyzing large data sets to deliver clear, actionable insights.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with supply chain operations, logistics, freight forwarding, ecommerce, or home-related industries
  • Formal credentials or training in lean business operations (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean certification)
  • Formal credentials or training in project management (e.g. PMP, CAPM, or PMI-related certifications)
  • MBA or equivalent graduate degree
