The role in a nutshell:

We are looking for an experienced individual to help execute the people strategy for Luno on a Global Scale. 

The Senior People Operations Partner will proactively support and advise people and business operations by ensuring high quality HR data, governance and policies are maintained and produced for reporting, administration, auditing and monitoring purposes. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will help you build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels. You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform HR strategies and decision-making.

Your mission will be:

People Operations 

  • Managing various aspects of People Operations including employee documentation and record keeping, on-boarding and off-boarding
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining People Operations processes and workflows.
  • Collaborate with IT Operations to ensure smooth onboarding, offboarding and supporting processes, while finding best-suited automation solutions.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders on all benefit administration processes - cyclical renewals, system updating and employee on and off boarding.
  • Ensuring policy documentation (Notion, LogiGate) is updated, compliant and relevant.
  • Employee Contract Administration throughout the Employee Lifecycle 
  • Being a trusted resource for people's data and process knowledge.
  • Lead and/or contribute towards a multitude of HR activities / projects to support business performance. 

Systems and Data

  • Being the main ‘super user’ for the HRIS and Jira platforms (as well as any other applicable HRIS systems), and the point of contact for employees.
  • Working to ensure our HRIS systems remain fit for purpose, and supporting new module roll-outs and opportunities for system enhancement, etc.  
  • To work closely with line managers and other key stakeholders to develop their knowledge and use of the HRIS and proactively engage with them on new processes and new products released within the HRIS umbrella.
  • Strong technical skills are essential, including expertise in HRIS platform management, database management, data analysis, and system troubleshooting.
  • You possess a solid understanding of HR processes, data management principles, and HR-related regulations is necessary to ensure accurate data entry and compliance

General

  • Support the Talent Acquisition team to ensure a smooth candidate offer process as the point of contact in the region
  • Support the People Experience team by handling office-related queries and serving as the point of contact for OSHA compliance within the region.
  • Support the People Partnering team in providing expertise and guidance on HR policies, labour laws, and compliance matters, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for employees, providing support for people systems and payroll-related inquiries.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting issues, and staying up to date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal audit reports, requests, and audits.
  • Act as the key liaison for information security (InfoSec) updates and changes.
  • Be the main point of contact for changes related to legal personal data processing.
A little about you:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years HR generalist Experience
  • 2 to 4 years HRIS Systems Experience as a Super User
  • Basic knowledge of Payroll Processes for the region
  • Possess excellent problem-solving abilities to address system issues, identify inefficiencies, and propose effective solutions
  • Proven Project Management experience with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
