Senior Product Manager (d/f/m)
Becoming part of the VIDA Product team means joining on a journey of challenging work at the intersection of technology and social impact. As a Senior Product Manager (d/f/m) you will play a pivotal role in our growth journey, functioning as the glue between our product and commercial execution. As one of our early hires, you’ll have the opportunity to shape our product strategy from the beginning, addressing the problems of our customers with solutions that provide high value.In this role, you will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO).Your responsibilities:
- Strategic vision: Craft and communicate a compelling product vision and strategy that aligns with VIDA's mission and goals. Drive execution in the product team while maintaining a focus on long-term objectives.
- Market insight & expansion: Stay ahead on market trends, customer needs, and industry developments to identify new opportunities for growth. Leverage your insights to drive the evolution of our product offerings and stay ahead of the competition. Collaborate with sales and business development teams to drive growth through strategic partnerships and market penetration.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Serve as “glue” between various internal teams, and facilitate effective communication and collaboration to ensure alignment and successful product launches.
- Roadmap Planning: Develop and manage a comprehensive product roadmap that outlines key initiatives, features, and enhancements. Prioritize initiatives based on business value, customer impact, and resource availability.
- A degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems, or a related field.
- 4-7 years of experience in product management, preferably within geospatial, cloud native, or related technology industries.
- Proven experience in managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
- Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, evaluate trade-offs, and work with engineering teams.
- Experience with tools like Figma or Sketch, or ability to collaborate effectively with designers.
- Experience in working with agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
- We work heavily with Gitlab for product management. You enjoy working with the team to do backlog groomings, working on roadmaps, etc.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a remote setup. You enjoy bringing together a remote team spread across Europe and Africa.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as the role may involve liaising with different teams (technical, business, marketing) and clients.
- Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on mentality to get the job done.
- Previous experience in working with cloud native technologies and understanding of geospatial systems and data.
