Lyft is looking for a strong and motivated Senior Tax Analyst to join our growing Tax Team! As a Senior Tax Analyst, you will report to the Senior Tax Manager and focus on supporting the Company’s international income tax compliance (including U.S. international) and provision processes as well as special projects. You will collaborate with key departments across the organization, including Accounting and Finance. 

 Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Tax or related field with 3+ years of accounting experience in a public accounting firm and/or corporate tax department of a multinational company operating globally
  • CPA, or a CPA candidate preferred
  • Exposure to Canada and other international tax provisions and cross-border issues
  • Exposure to U.S. compliance for international taxpayers is a plus 
  • Technical knowledge of tax law and familiarity with ASC 740 and its application is a plus
  • Exceptional project management skills are required, with proactive process improvement experience. Able to prioritize workload in order to meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Must be comfortable with virtual communications and working with geographically disparate groups
  • Strong computer and technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Alteryx, experience is a plus
  • Accounting system experience is a plus (Oracle, Netsuite or similar ERP)
  • Strong attention to detail, yet understand and apply the degree of accuracy necessary for the task at hand
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the preparation and review of the quarterly and annual tax provision for all foreign subsidiaries, including computation of US international tax results (GILTI, BEAT, 163(j), etc.)
  • Assist with the review of US international tax compliance requirements including Forms 5471 / 5472 / 8865 / 8991 / 8992 / 926
  • Assist with the review of all international income tax requirements
  • Assist with the review of Canada SR&ED credit claims
  • Assist in all other international tax workflows such as transfer pricing reports, withholding  tax requirements, Pillar 1/Pillar 2 implementation
  • Perform tax research as necessary to complete assigned tasks/projects
  • Support of international tax planning and involvement in special projects
  • Monitor international tax law changes and impact to Lyft

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Thursdays and a team-specific third day. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.
