ROLE MISSION

Working in partnership with our client, the Social Media Manager will be managing the social conversations of some of the world’s leading brands across the Beauty & Wellbeing + Personal Care category. This opportunity is perfect for a talented and experienced individual who can translate brand personality into conversations on social media, understands how to best leverage social’s unique strengths, and sees the bigger picture for a brand’s presence online.

 

THIS ROLE IS RIGHT FOR YOU IF...

You are on top of the latest developments in social, you know what is happening behind the social media feed and know the latest reels trend and why it matters. You instinctively write in Twitter’s character limit. You know what’s going down in the DMs. In short, you’re a social media GOAT—an idea generating, trend identifying, wordsmithing, conversational powerhouse who loves getting down in the trenches and at the front line of audience interaction and content creation.

ABOUT THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

You will be joining an on-site agency team who are super passionate about best-in-class social and creative. You’ll work closely with digital specialists, brand managers and customer service partners

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

Across no more than 3 channels you will be responsible for driving best in class social media management and fame across brands socials.

Community Management - Listening and Engagement:

  • Proactively engage with the UK others say community posts (paid + organic), including leveraging TikTok/IG comment sections to reply to social community as the brand.
  • Provide on-brand responses to influencer and consumer @mentions.
  • Crisis management, responding quickly and the ability to liaise and escalate community management issues with key stakeholders adhering to global turnaround guidance i.e. 24 hours.
  • Manage and nurture the community, identifying key engagement opportunities in organic planning,
  • Infiltration into culture, driving fame through owned voices and jumping on trending opportunities from brand account, such as commenting on trending social videos, or influencers’ posts about relevant topics in an on-brand entertaining way and suggesting campaign ideas based on social listening insights.
  • Identify and engage with relevant communities and brand enthusiasts to foster genuine relationships and amplify brand presence on social media platforms.

Content Management:

  • Managing all organic ‘brand say’ posts – ideate, present to client, brief design team, schedule in content calendar.
  • Monitor brand’s feeds and comment section and use them as sources of inspiration to create organic content.
  • Identify relevant internet trends, pop culture topics and reactive moments throughout the year to create organic content to react to those moments.
  • Champion platform best practice across all content developed for your brand – ensuring content is platform native.
  • Using social media’s interactive tools to engage with brand’s community.

Planning and client partnership: 

  • Help to craft Tone of Voice guidance for FAQ and copy for brand’s social channels.
  • Content and campaign ideation, optimisation and planning where required i.e. reactive opportunities.
  • Present content ideas to clients
  • Monitor paid assets (dark posted) and paid monthly campaign activity as well as organic.
  • Monitor and reporting - monthly review of content performance, conversations and competitive inspiration and implement optimisations where required

 

WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Worked in FMCG and have a passion for the beauty and personal care category.
  • Stakeholder management, including internal, cross-department, clients.
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Proven experience of creating content for social media with an interest in the latest trends
  • Worked with social media management and listening tools e.g., BrandWatch, Sprinklr
  • Understanding of paid media and the role of influencer
  • This job is best suited to an individual with at least 2 -3 years of experience working in an agency or client side on brand marketing through social media.
  • Level-headed, strategic thinker who’s meticulous in their way of working.
  • Entrepreneurial and proactive - ability to spot opportunities, mitigate risks and help clients achieve their business ambitions.
  • Creative flair and excellent written communications skills and great copywriting
  • Nuanced and thorough knowledge of social platforms
  • Keen interest in digital trends and popular culture
