Vox Media is seeking a highly creative, ambitious, innovative and organized Social Video Producer to join the Eater video team.

The ideal candidate has had experience creating social series across the various platforms. The candidate should be both strong in ideation as well as in physical and post production. The Social Video Producer will work across many of the video franchise series, Eater at Home content, and new social initiatives. Our ideal candidate can balance the physical work while staying on the pulse of social platform changes and trends. Passion for food, restaurants, culture, and the people and places in the industry that make it all happen is a plus.This role will report into the Supervising Producer, Development on the video team but work very closely with the audience team as well.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Create short form social content for Eater at Home, video & social franchises, and sponsorships
  • Develop new social video ideas for packages or sponsorships 
  • Produce and shoot in the field weekly 
  • Edit 1-2 social videos per week 
  • Stay on top of trends & current moments and pitch video ideas as you see fit
  • Work across the video & social teams
  • Work with Eater video and social leadership on platform strategy, ideation, and execution
  • Work with various department heads on big initiatives and Eater packages

 

WHO YOU ARE
  • 3-5 years of professional social, digital or TV experience (development, producing, shooting)
  • Previous experience developing social concepts for video
  • Strong understanding of video analytics on the platforms
  • An understanding that social video changes rapidly
  • Experience with sponsored video concepts 
  • Both high-end and low-fi shooting capabilities for social
  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop
  • Strong interest in all of Eater coverage areas
  • A true team player and innovator who brings passion to the table

PAY TRANSPARENCY

The salary range listed below represents the minimum and maximum base pay for this position at the time of this posting. Final salary offered to the candidate selected for the position will be based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.

Pay Range$77,000—$80,000 USD
