Software Engineer II - Digital Frontline

Why We Have This Role

As a Software Development Engineer on the Digital Frontline product team, you would apply your distributed-systems knowledge, familiarity with full-stack development, databases, various storage-engines, and web-services design and implementation to build premier software and services.

  • Learn Agile methodologies by attending daily stand-up meetings, prioritizing tasks, and working with a sense of urgency to meet a scheduled plan to deliver value to our customers

 

Things You’ll Do

  • Develop scalable, fast, robust, and simple web-based solutions to solve business problems
  • Implement new features and optimize existing ones to drive optimal performance and feature adoptions
  • Develop features through a mix of backend services and front end development
  • Maintain systems in production, resolve customer issues, and participate in team on-call rotation
  • Contribute to team meetings, attend project review and operation review meetings, design enhancements and new features, collaborate with your peers, prioritize features, and work with a sense of urgency to deliver value to your customers
  • Work closely with, and incorporate feedback from other specialists, tech-ops, and product managers

 

What We’re Looking For On Your Resume 

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • 2-5 years of experience as a software engineer.
  • Experience with software architecture and distributed systems
  • Strong algorithms, data structures and coding background
  • Disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance
  • Experience with software engineering standard methodologies (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documents)
  • Be highly creative, flexible, self-directed and resilient

Digital Frontline team offers the chance to work on high-scale — billions of requests a day — distributed systems that power one of the most business-critical (and fast growing) products at Qualtrics, Digital Frontline Experience. We offer a variety of technical and product challenges across the entirety of the stack, from complex networking solutions to highly-performant front-end applications, and the chance to collaborate closely with a large team of skilled staff engineers as we built out new Digital Experience Analytics (DXA) and Customer Journey Optimization (CJO) capabilities. As an engineer on Digital Frontline, beyond designing, building and operating services and features, we encourage you to understand what our customers need and struggle with, and we both welcome engineer involvement in the product roadmap and we've prioritized multiple engineering-lead product investments in the past.

For full-time positions, this pay range is for base per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience. For part-time or intern positions, this pay range is for base pay per hour. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be included in an employment offer, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and other benefits, based on eligibility criteria.
