The Role

Together we actively contribute to Personio’s growth by building meaningful commercial partnerships and winning new SME customers so that they can unlock their full HR potential. As Strategic Partnerships Manager for our Partnerships team, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and evaluating new business models and opportunities with existing partners and partners of new kind. You will be responsible for driving partnership initiatives, fostering collaborations, and expanding our market reach and commercial impact. You will work closely with the rest of the partnerships team, and also with the sales, marketing and growth teams across all our regions.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape our commercial partnerships strategy and ecosystem. As we are still in an early phase regarding partnerships this is a unique chance for you to make a tremendous impact in contributing to our European growth plans.Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop commercial partnership opportunities and models with different kinds of potential partners to contribute to Personio’s growth

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential partner segments and collaboration opportunities, understand market dynamics and emerging trends

  • Develop business cases incl. financial assessments of the viability and profitability of partnership opportunities

  • Lead the end-to-end business development lifecycle with partners, including initial exploration, outreach, negotiations, commercial model creation, contract development, management of pilot phase and final evaluation of success based on business case

  • Identify, develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders of (potential) partners. Actively manage, steer and deliver commercial impact with your portfolio of high potential and strategic partners

  • Build and maintain a strong network of HR Tech contacts and partnership leaders to stay updated on business opportunities, industry developments, and the competitive landscape

  • Stay up to date on industry best practices and new trends in SaaS partnerships and share your knowledge and insights with the teams

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including direct Sales, Marketing, and Customer Growth and Product Management, to align partnership strategies with company goals, customer/prospect need and ensure successful execution

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management or economics or a related field, Masters’s/MBA is a plus

  • You have 5+ years combined work experience in Strategy Consulting, Business Development, Commercial Partnerships or a Go-to market-related strategy role

  • Ideally, you bring SaaS experience and a strong interest in software technology and HR tech. Personal experience in working in or with consulting businesses definitely is a plus

  • You are a strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and the willingness to think from first principles to develop business cases for ‘first-of-their-kind’ partnership opportunities and models

  • You are ambitious, commercially-minded and able to make trade offs on time and investments to leverage projects and partnerships for maximum impact to Personio

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Ideally, you have experience navigating stakeholders in larger organisations

  • You are fluent in English and ideally in one or more other European languages
