*This is a Boston based opportunity with a 4 day in office expectation

Co-ops will work closely with Wayfair leadership to improve the employee experience by leveraging data and insights to raise the bar on organizational effectiveness. Strong candidates will demonstrate sound business acumen, analytical skills, high EQ, and an eagerness to learn and grow.

What You’ll Do:

  • Scope, develop and manage end-to-end analyses (gather requirements, establish key metrics, test hypotheses) to address difficult business questions and improve the recruiter, candidate, and employee experience
  • Present analyses and insights to teams across Talent and the Business
  • Navigate our People Analytics platform (Visier) to answer questions and build customized views for various business leaders
  • Leverage or learn Google Big Query to extract and manipulate talent data for ad hoc requests and projects
  • Cultivate relationships and collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify opportunities and learnings, and create efficiencies through new tools and recommendations
  • Examples of past projects on this team include collecting and analyzing survey data, creating an infrastructure to aggregate and analyze recruiting data, and evaluating performance review cycle results

What You’ll Need:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Current Sophomore, Junior, or Senior student pursuing an undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Math, Statistics, Business/Economics, Information Systems, Analytics) with a 3.0 GPA minimum
  • Must be returning to the course of study following the completion of the Co-op
  • Ability to commit to working 40 hours/week (9am-5pm, Monday-Friday) from January 6 to June 20, 2025 in our Boston office
  • You must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by Wayfair now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong academic record, exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Creative and innovative approach to solving problems; a desire to understand talent business processes and make them better
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a demonstrated self-starter mentality
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Interest in working hard and being challenged in a fast-paced environment
  • Curiosity, a creative mindset, and the ability to quickly learn new technical tools 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive, people-oriented, and enthusiastic attitude
  • Proficient with advanced MS Excel/Google Sheets
  • Experience with a programming language (SQL, R, or Python) is a plus
  • Integrity, maturity, and respect to handle confidential and sensitive talent data
  • Demonstrated leadership through campus involvement

Wayfair Co-op Program Overview:

Based in Wayfair’s Boston headquarters, our co-op program is a six-month, full-time, paid program that runs twice annually in January to June and July to December. Through the co-op program, students have the opportunity to gain impactful professional experience in their major or career field of interest by fully integrating with Wayfair business units. In addition to exciting project work, Wayfair co-ops have the opportunity to build their professional networks, take advantage of training offerings, and attend social events throughout the program.

Wayfair's In-Office Policy:

All Boston-based interns, co-ops, and corporate employees will be in office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and work remotely Friday.
