As a Co-op in this department, you will have the opportunity to add value by driving projects, working with a diverse group of people and diving into complex problems. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders on challenges related to the hiring, development, and/or engagement of Wayfair's workforce
  • Use creative skills to innovate & improve approaches to recruiting, learning, and/or performance management to build the best team
  • Use data and good judgment to inform decisions around hiring, learning offerings, and/or people policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with key partners and stakeholders such as business leaders, new hires, and managers
  • Exercise strong organizational and prioritization skills to deliver results and solutions to human capital challenges

What You’ll Need:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Current Sophomore or Junior student pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Communication, Psychology, HR or other relevant program with a 3.0 GPA minimum
  • Must be returning to the course of study following completion of the Co-op
  • Ability to commit to working 40 hours/week (9am-5pm, Monday-Friday) from January 6 to June 20, 2025 in our Boston office
  • You must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by Wayfair now or in the future

Possible Team Placements Include:

  • Corporate Communications: Our Corporate Communications team focuses on driving one cohesive company narrative that positively positions Wayfair to external and internal audiences by developing, sharing and amplifying company stories to build trust with target audiences.
  • Corporate Travel: The Corporate Travel team is a high touch customer facing team that will allow you to foster relationships with both internal & external partners.You will be able to own projects and help build processes to support colleagues within the corporate travel and community experience programs.
  • Employee Resource Center (ERC): The ERC is a global centralized services team that assists employees for a variety of reasons ranging from leave of absence or accommodation requests, questions related to benefits, I-9 completion, Workday issues, Wayferrals, internal mobility, etc. The ERC also partners closely with stakeholders for processes such as terminations, unemployment, interview scheduling and HRIS reorganizations.
  • Global Mobility & Immigration (GM&I): Wayfair values global mobility and believes the opportunity for employees to carry their experience across various business locations, both domestically and internationally, adds value to the business and allows employees to develop their careers. The GM&I team supports the end-to-end movement of Wayfairians globally and oversees four distinct programs to support these moves: International Transfers, International Assignments, Immigration, and Domestic Relocation.  
  • Global Talent Development (GTD): Our GTD team works to create and offer resources that drive professional development. As a Co-op on this team, you will work cross-functionally to create and maintain learning offerings and content.

This team engages with leaders to grow their commitment and collaboration, develops education programs and awareness, and builds the right infrastructure to support our work.
  • Talent Relations (TR): Our TR team is here to support employees with performance management & employee relations, benefits administration and overall wellness. As a Co-op on this team, you will support all HR projects, processes, programs, and procedures at Wayfair.
  • Total Rewards: Our Total Rewards team leverages a data-driven approach, using both internal and external insights, to develop a competitive employee benefits and compensation strategy across the globe. This team is responsible for designing compensation and benefits packages, including health, retirement, and childcare options, aimed at enhancing employee retention and overall well-being. Additionally, they play a vital role in communicating the offering to managers and employees, ensuring a clear understanding of Wayfair’s Total Rewards package.

Wayfair Co-op Program Overview:

Based in Wayfair’s Boston headquarters, our co-op program is a six-month, full-time, paid program that runs twice annually in January to June and July to December. Through the co-op program, students have the opportunity to gain impactful professional experience in their major or career field of interest by fully integrating with Wayfair business units. In addition to exciting project work, Wayfair co-ops have the opportunity to build their professional networks, take advantage of training offerings, and attend social events throughout the program.

Wayfair's In-Office Policy:

All Boston-based interns, co-ops, and corporate employees will be in office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and work remotely Friday.
