SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE…

Pure Storage is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead complex engineering projects from conception to completion. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks, and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You will manage and improve existing processes, develop tools, manage software releases, and deliver on other Engineering programs. You’ll be exercising independent judgment and developing recommendations that translate into a course of action.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Software engineering background in enterprise environment - Person should understand the know-How of software engineering including how a code change flows from dev branch to production. Understanding of the life cycle of code change in an enterprise environment including required tools.
  • Program Management Experience - Person has played program Manager role for at least 3-5 years managing software programs. Understanding of PLC (superset of SDLC) and well aware of challenges faced in each phase. Been there and done it.
  • Product focused - Person is product focused to ensure that teams are continually working towards a business objective than just delivering software changes.
  • Curious - Person is curious to learn and keep making improvements. In his past, he has already done it. It is part of the personality.
  • Experience with scale - Person has managed programs with cross functional teams within his org and outside.
  • Nice to have - Full feature enablement experience. It ties up to own the PLC process from start to end (actually, there is no end in PLC process)
  • Self driving - no need for continuous supervision and direction
  • Management Style - Person should be managing the programs by the influence. 
  • You will be based in Bangalore, India. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 3 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.
