VaynerX is hiring a VP, Global Communications to help lead and manage our external and internal communications efforts. 

 

VaynerX is a contemporary family of companies, working together to grow brands. Subsidiaries include VaynerMedia, Eva Nosidam Productions, The Sasha Group, Gallery Media Group, Tingley Lane Trading, VaynerSpeakers, and VaynerCommerce. 

 

The Role & Team: 

As a team, we are responsible for raising the profile and reputation of the VaynerX brand and the companies within it, with the goal of growing our business, attracting new talent, and positioning the company against other leading agencies across the industry. 

 

The VP, Global Director of Communications will report to the EVP, Global Head of Communications, and will have responsibility for certain areas of the organization (do be determined based on the candidate's previous experience and areas of expertise). 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Craft and disseminate press releases, statements, and other media materials.
  • Continuously assess the marketing landscape to identify opportunities to show Vayner’s POV.
  • Raise awareness and public profile of executives through broadcast, speaking and byline opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to utilize event content to write thought-leadership pieces. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry publications, consumer press and broadcast outlets with the aim of having VaynerX companies and its people regularly represented. 
  • Develop and implement crisis communication plans to effectively manage and mitigate reputational risks.
  • Oversee PR strategy and outreach of press launches for client campaigns.  
  • Liaise and build relationships with clients and their PR counterparts.  
  • Lead and mentor members of the team.

Key Attributes: 

  • Proven experience in a senior communications role within the advertising or marketing industry.
  • Strong understanding of global media landscape, industry and cultural trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement an effective communications strategy. 
  • Proficient in crisis management and issues resolution.
  • Existing relationships with key industry press. Relationships with business, consumer, pop-culture, and broadcast a plus. 
  • Ability to work quickly and collaboratively with a fast-paced team on multiple projects at once. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
  • Demonstrated executive presence, with the ability to effectively engage and influence senior leaders.
