About this roll*:   

Toast is looking for a VP of International Sales who will lead a team of field account executives, district managers and regional VPs to support the delivery of the full sales cycle to restaurants primarily in the SMB market. Through mentoring and continued enhancement of the Sales team skills, the VP of Sales will help Toast support development of individuals and continue the growth plans of the company.  The ideal candidate will be a problem solver who can identify trends, scale the sales organization, and drive revenue.

International expansion is a key lever to support Toast’s long- term growth. Our current international countries, also referred to as our Horizon I markets include Canada, the United Kingdom and Ireland. These three markets meaningfully increase our TAM and have the ability to see the same growth trajectory of our US markets meaningfully adding to our ARR and location penetration.

Key responsibilities

  • Strategically develop and execute sales plan in current markets, with market expansion in mind, while delivering robust and accurate forecasting and ensuring delivery of key targets
  • Maintain and expand customer base by counseling sales leaders and team members, building and maintaining rapport with key customers, and identifying new customer opportunities.
  • Develop ways Toast can expand internationally through a variety of channels  
  • Recommend product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and service changes, surveying consumer needs and trends, and tracking competitors.
  • Lead large distributed teams across multiple offices and many remote employees,  focused on creative a positive work environment where employees can grow and thrive
  • Build organization through strong mentorship and talent development while identifying key opportunities for growth, investment, and upleveling
  • Collaborate with key leaders in onboarding, customer success, marketing, and product to ensure an optimal customer experience

Do you have the right ingredients*:   

  • Track record in UK & Ireland markets
  • Experience with B2B sales with small business customers
  • Experience operating in matrixed management with fast & nimble decision-making with multi-national (50+) teams
  • Ability to effectively operate both strategically and tactically in an ambiguous & complex environment
  • Has a “never stop learning” mindset, able to learn industry trends and build expertise, plus drive change management
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Knowledge of the payments industry is a plus

Travel: 50% to Ireland; 1x/quarter to Canada

Will consider candidates based in Dublin, Ireland.
