Overview:

The VP of Product Operations serves as a key partner to the Chief Product & Technology Officer and GPT leadership team, focusing on developing a clear, well-articulated product portfolio strategy and aligning investment decisions. This leader will be responsible for developing a team that will establish disciplined operations, emphasizing operational excellence and data-driven decision-making with direct impact on the development and delivery of our products.This role works closely with our product management, engineering, and field teams to help solve our most complex and ambiguous business challenges.

The Product Operations team at LivePerson is chartered with driving effective product lifecycle management to help the product portfolio achieve the desired customer and business outcomes. The team will drive cross-functional initiatives including: product lifecycle activities, portfolio-wide planning, launch readiness, customer feedback, roadmap & execution visibility and produce data to enhance customer-oriented decision making.

You will: 

  • Drive product planning processes that map to long-range plans and ensure alignment across the organization. Establish monthly and quarterly review cadences, ensuring transparency and alignment to strategic objectives.
  • Drive clarity in planning and visibility of product plans and priorities across the organization. Establish and drive product release planning and release readiness processes, including standard roadmaps, updates and change management. 
  • Establish best practices and ways of working for the GPT organization and its interactions with cross-functional teams.
  • Create and implement processes and systems that ensure operational excellence throughout the organization. Quickly identify and address what is working and not working in terms of people, processes and tooling. 
  • Monitor and assess product metrics to shape product strategy and achieve business goals. Provide leaders with essential data and analytical insights to enhance product adoption, refine design/features, and keep a pulse on product health.
  • Lead a highly impactful operations team including product operations, program management, design, and analytics, that ensures the GPT organization’s effectiveness and success.  

You have:

  • 10+ years of experience in a leadership role overseeing both product and technical operations.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise with leading cross-functional teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of product development, technical operations, and industry best practices.

Benefits: 

The salary range for this role will be between $245,000 to $275,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, your location, skills, experience, education, and/or professional certifications. During the phone screening, the recruiter will provide the location-specific salary range for this role.
