Databricks IT is looking for a program manager to help build a strong practice of delivering and executing projects to support growth and scale the global function as Databricks continues its hyper-growth. You will work closely with the IT product and PMO leaders to plan milestones, report on project status, and keep deliverables on track using project management and agile best practices. You will assist with creating and monitoring processes across our IT teams. You'll maintain and expand our relationships with other organizations. You will participate in organizing controls, governance, and standards across our teams to achieve successful outcomes. You will report to a CIO and assist on IT portfolio management projects.
The impact you will have:
- You will leverage your experience with software development lifecycle models and your expertise in Agile and project management principles to take ownership of tasks, blending these approaches in optimal proportions to achieve results.
- You will take the lead in IT Portfolio management activities, collaborating closely with the IT PMO Leader. This includes defining processes, managing intake, overseeing governance, and generating reports.
- You will take charge of creating IT project progress reports for leadership and the overall team, Working alongside IT product leaders, engineering leaders, and stakeholders.
- You will assist in driving the SaaS application rationalization program.
- You will develop reports/dashboards to track and report on IT QBR and OKR metrics.
- You will craft communications that can be consumed at different levels of the organization – from executive-level presentations to materials consumed by cross-functional teams.
- You will manage Jira projects for proper content and organization. Develop the necessary dashboards and reports to serve IT PMO reporting needs.
- You will pursue delivery excellence to ensure success and that all team members understand the goals and success criteria. Uphold a culture of focus, delivery, and accountability across the organization.
What we look for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Information Systems and a minimum of 2 years of technical program/project/relationship management experience
- Experience with applications such as Jira or other backlog and project management tools.
- Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet or other requirements/task management tools
- Ability to build relationships with and manage diverse stakeholders remotely
- Experience working in a high-velocity, dynamic environment
- Experience modulating the presentation of information based on your audience: from a C-level executive to an Individual Contributor.
- Understanding of IT SDLC process for software development
- Experience working with Agile development teams; Agile Scrum Master experience as a bonus
- Knowledge of PMI PMP

Pay Range Transparency
Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. Zone 1 Pay Range$78,700—$139,400 USD
