Wayfair Professional’s North American Business to Business (“B2B”) and Consumer Sales team is seeking a collaborative,  analytical-oriented associate to help drive the organization's strategic roadmap. The role will be a part of the Sales Enablement / Strategic Planning & Analytics team that will help craft and execute strategy across North America Sales. While our site and app experience allow for seamless self-service, our higher-value customers benefit from sales support. Sales teams establish relationships with purchasing decision-makers, educate customers about Wayfair’s assortment, services, and capabilities, and proactively reach out to intercept emerging needs to help them complete their orders and projects.

We seek a motivated associate who will partner with our business and tech stakeholders to support our bi-annual OKR planning & tracking and help with long term strategic roadmap. This includes proactively partnering with Sales, Tech and Analytics teams to monitor progress against goals, and executing medium/long-term program and channel-level project initiatives that improve customer and seller/agent experience and optimize workflows (enabled by process and tooling). The role will report to the Central Planning & Special Projects Lead.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the Bi-Annual Planning Cycle through OKR creation, maintenance, tracking, and accountability
    • Work with analytics to define and measure success and provide clarity on how initiatives ladder up to these goals
    • Provide weekly / monthly / quarterly updates on business progress and performance against our targets. Communicate regularly with stakeholders to have a steady understanding on key milestones
  • Provide short-term operational support to improve performance: 
    • Scope data requests for analytics teams to execute, and interpret results to understand business trends (validating qualitative feedback)
    • Create short-term action plans to address underperformance and/or accelerate positive trends, with clear asks, milestones and deliverables
    • Align and alert partner teams to execute
    • Communicate progress and resolutions to partner teams and sales team members
  • Scope and execute medium/long-term projects and initiatives
    • Assist in scoping project initiatives, ensuring project management operational excellence through clear deliverables, resource needs, timelines, and cross-functional involvement
    • Drive execution to project deliverables, including hitting stage gate milestones, preparing / delivering updates to L4+ Sales / cross-functional teammates, incorporating feedback
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and resources, assessing and acting on tradeoffs across the business (e.g., across sales programs, tech resources)
  • Help the business understand how well are we executing the overall roadmap and individual programs / initiatives within the roadmap (e.g., % of initiatives completed on time, quality of execution, % adoption from Sales)

What You’ll Need:

  • 3+ years of experience in sales enablement, project / program management, strategy & operations, consulting, or similar roles supporting Sales, Customer Service, or Marketing teams
  • Communication: Ability to understand and empathize with diverse stakeholders across functions, and tailor messaging / communication appropriately to ensure resonance; ability to create consistent messaging about complex projects, flexing to audience needs but creating cohesion on the objective and guiding principles
  • Strategic thinking / problem solving: Ability to break down complex, ambiguous problems into logical objectives, translating sales needs into discrete, actionable steps for partner teams to execute
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Passion for working collaboratively across functions to drive operational improvements and projects. Empathetic with stakeholder (sales team) and partner (sales tech, analytics, sales performance and training, customer experience and journey) needs and perspectives to drive cohesive vision and execution
  • Program/Process management: Ability to manage processes efficiently by scoping logical steps from ideation to project completion, organizing data / materials for broad understanding, synthesizing stakeholder feedback, ensuring project interim steps are on time, and delivering results on time with high quality
  • Data Interpretation: Ability to synthesize insights from data analysis, understanding trends that affect performance in the short-term and identifying long-term opportunities for improvement
