What you’ll do

Doctolib is looking for a Communications Director in France. 

As a key member of Doctolib Leadership Team, strategic advisor to our global Brand & Communications Director and French Managing Director, you will have a strong impact in supporting our growth, trust and loved brand ambitions through:

  • Having a direct and massive impact on our top line growth in our historic market, supporting our business development initiatives with strong narratives & comm strategies
  • Having a direct and massive impact on our reputation and trust in our brand, at a moment in time where the company is entering a new dimension, 10 years after its creation in France and in a highly regulated sector
  • Protecting our brand by handling sensitive / crisis communications and being a spokesperson in a market where the level of exposure of the brand is top level (90% aided awareness) 
  • Playing a strategic role as communication sparring partner for our French Managing Director and C-Suite members, helping them to shine as thought leaders in French media
  • Taking our Press relations, Reputation Management and Corporate Social Media to the next level with a solid existing team
  • Be a driving force in fostering collaboration with your Public Affairs, Marketing, People/Employer branding, Legal... peers (narratives, speaking opportunities, partnerships, etc.) to ensure brand consistency across the French touchpoints

Your top goals include building up trust and closeness in the Doctolib brand as well as protecting it. 

You will be granted stock options, lead & grow a team of 3 people and be based in our Levallois-Perret office. 

More precisely, you will:

  • Shape, localize and deliver Doctolib's corporate communication strategy in France; 
  • Take our Media Relations strategy to the next level and deliver impactful Media Relations campaigns for France, engaging directly with key journalists;
  • Design a compelling CEO positioning for our founder and strong thought leadership positioning for our C-Suite Group and France's spokespeople in the French media market;
  • Handle sensitive communication and crises to safeguard Doctolib's brand reputation, in close coordination with the global Brand & Communications Director and French Managing Director;
  • Take our corporate social media strategy to the next level in France (LinkedIn and Twitter);
  • Create and deliver compelling coordinated image / corporate campaigns working hand in hand with your Public Affairs, Go to Market, People/Employer branding, Legal, Social Impact, (etc.) peers (narratives, speaking opportunities, partnerships, etc.), with a specific focus on trust and brand attachment;
  • Develop corporate assets, including media pitches, thought leadership pieces, press releases, Q&As, corporate website pages, etc.;
  • Be a spokesperson for France;
  • Manage a team of 3 committed and expert profiles;
  • Drive our Communications agency;
  • Ensure brand consistency across touchpoints (eg. leveraging the tone & voice in narratives and various assets, etc.);
  • Work closely with your peers from Global, Germany and Italy Communications teams.
Who you are
  • You have a successful track record in Communication leadership/senior roles building communication strategies and bold, creative operations to foster trust, attachment and promote a positive corporate image in a highly exposed context;
  • You are an experienced storyteller, used to translating through strong and engaging writing skills business choices, core values & missions of a company into powerful narratives that serve positive brand reputation;
  • A strong strategic thinker, you understand societal challenges & considerations as well as Public Affairs, Go to Market or Legal stakes, and are able to include these considerations into high level & compelling Communication strategies; you also enjoy being hands-on and actively take part in delivering operations yourself, hand in hand with your team. 
  • You have a strong experience being a sparring partner & strategic advisor for C-Suite/Leadership, helping them to become Thought Leaders and to overcome tense crisis situations;
  • You are an expert in brand protection and crisis management, able to think and react constructively, bringing calm & processes despite intense emotional situation or high level of pressure and driving consensus in a cross-team environment; 
  • You are an experienced spokesperson in tense crisis contexts;
  • You have the ability & willingness to go on the field to create deep and trust relationships with key journalists. An installed network of journalists, allowing easy & fast access to National, Lifestyle or Regional newspapers is a strong plus;
  • An expertise in Privacy and Security topics is a strong plus;
  • You are a highly customer-centric leader, obsessed by knowing your audience, considering customer & user voices as your n°1 priority and taking all your decisions in consideration of it;
  • You are recognized as a very positive leader, energized by challenges, always motivated and resilient in front of difficulties and seeing obstacles as opportunities. You are determined to spread this mindset across your team and organization;
  • You are a native French speaker and fluent inEnglish;
